I DonĀ“t Know Why would be great live, if mr Wood could get a grip on the slide part.

There was a lot of variety in the Stones sets I saw in Boston, NY, Bocton & Foxboro, including KR's - I heard 'This Place Is Empty,' 'Happy', 'The Worst', 'Infamy,' 'Little T&A' and You Got the Silver' - of course the shows were spaced apart, too. My main complaint was the shows got more '60s oriented as the tour progressed....But the band was fabulous.

you'll get a lot of variety in places where the band return three or four times on one tour, however - for the simple reason that they're conscious of a large amount of return customers and they'll go through the setlists to see what they played before.

The shows tend to be more 'standard' when it comes to the places that get visited once during the tour

Can't you hear me Knocking, Some Girls and I'm Free?! I think this all bodes really well for the 3 nights in London! Shine A Light will probably be a regular as the documentary's out soon.

Wow.
Even if it's just rehearsals, that's cool.
Doing only shows that are in countries they never or hardly played before I most likely won't hear many of those gems, but still - I'm hoping.

I second that emotion.

It couldn't hurt to try out "Sleep Tonight", "Too Rude" or "Losing My Touch" as well.

Rip this joint!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great night that would be, to hear this.

But only, if Keith and Ronnie both focus on the instrument, instead of posing. A true rockandroll without pumping guitars: it's worse than any Britey Spears stuff.

Rip This Joint?.....ok now you have my attention...........When was the last time that was even rehearsed?

Re: Tour rehearsals in Brussels

Well, by looking those lists of songs rehearsed, it looks like that they have forgotten they released two years ago an album with a title under which they are now touring... Well, I don't blame them, I have also forgotten it!

I find the choices they have done quite obvious. I just wish that whatever they play they will do it well, Keith remembers the chords, etc. But I wouldn't mind hearing "Some Girls", "Love Is Strong", "Undercover" and "It's All Over Now" (if they do it better that they did it in 1994; horrible, breathless version that was).

hi Doxa, thats also what I thought. it is not the time to complain really concerning ABB songs because theres still some days of rehearsals to go, but so far it seems that no 'new' (in terms of as yet unplayed) ABB will show up in this last leg of ABB tour! and the other songs-besides Pretty Beat Up theres no real surprise, and I bet that they did Pretty Beat Up just as warm-up-jam, indication is that Jagger was not even present when they did it. so no new ABB songs and no digging in the catalog for real surprises either - until now. but things may change, maybe they save the real surprises for the last couple of days of rehearsals.

Just cause they rehearse them doesn't mean your gonna hear them. Remember that only 2 or 3 get plugged in the interchangable slot while the set basically remains the same.

Sounds like the warhorses are fillin the arena.

Re: Tour rehearsals in Brussels

i don't care much what they play, i just hope they're into it...and that it rocks like a holy mother...a lot of those 'warhorse' pieces are but 'set' pieces for what MIGHT turn into an inspired peformance totally in the present...and they have a dynamic 'jam' within the set boundaries of whatever song...i can't tell u how thrilled i was to see them open with sfm for some of the licks tour...i mean, what a way to open things up...and the particular version, easily seen on that hbo '03 broadcast...is so hot....they are generating so much heat and rhythm by the end, i woudld have preferred for them to just go on and on and on with it, even if they had to drop two other songs for lack of time...i just want the stones to be the stones and to rock like they really can...i enjoy this thread very much for the most part...and do thank y'all for the pix and reports, way cool and much apprecieated, so don't git me wrong...i join in on the setlist bitching and requests too just like most...and share in the thrill when them ancient bastids throw something anywhere near a surprise into the set, just like most others here...but at heart...it's all 'a' material...as long as they show up feeling fine and really into it, that's waaay more than enuff for me.

I would just hope that after almost two years of playing the same ol' warhorses they would mix it up a little and play some rarely played songs for this leg.
