The Stones have the best security people around. Nothing but the top people. I would not call them bodyguards. They take care of the security both for the person they assist as well as the crowd in general. They are able to differentiate between idiots, monkeys, stalkers, psychos and real fans. I have been close up with Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie many many times, behind barriers, places I should not have been, like many other maniac fans, but still each and every security person have taken special care of me and treated me as a fan and not like a stalker. I have been to plenty of shows with local people not being in tune with the fans but the Stones security people have a totally different level. If you have experienced something bad with Stones security people then you must have had a bad day and probably crossed many lines and rules. You would only have yourself to blame. Please do not turn this thread into a discussion about security people. That case is now closed. Thank you.
Time to move on with the Brussels rehearsals, being just great tonight, by the way. Twenty people made it early, the group soon doubled, and despite the arctic cold weather and slight drizzle, most stayed until it was all over. The band rehearsed for more than four hours net, not counting breaks. Keith did around 10 different songs on his own. Love Is Strong, Respectable, Monkey Man All Down The Line, Let It Bleed, Paint It Black, Loving Cup and so on - they will all show up some place on tour this summer, and they sound great!
