Found this on the site. 56 concerts for download so far.

"Our downloads are unrestricted 256k mp3 files that offer exceptional audio quality and ultimate portability.
All concerts available are $9.98 each.
We'll be adding to the downloads list regularly - keep an eye out for announcements on this site and in our weekly newsletter".

Looks to me as if many of the concerts available for download now have already been released as King Biscuit CDs or are fairly common bootlegs.

I thought so too the first time I saw that page, but there's different trackselections from the shows. It surprises me that they haven't been shut down by music-companies....
also, Dylan is not represented, while the rest of the Rolling Thunder acts from 1975 is available at that site. Could Dylan's lawyers have prevented any Dylan stuff there ?

I post as Your Cousin Lou over there, and you are not a thief - thanks for spreading the word! I think they add 10 new streams every wednesday, and I just happened to be on to capture a CCR show.

AH thanks for that Cousin Lou - it's a great afternoon listening through that stream. The mono bootleg source is a tad muddy - this one's perfectly mixed, what a great tour this is

Wolfgang's Vault owns the rights and the tapes from the KBFH.

You made me think with your post Hound Dog...
I remember seeing the 81 tour in Hartford CT, and after the show, my friends and I all said in agreement "That sucked!"

Keeping in mind we were High School teenagers and were in full protest against "DISCO"... "Miss You" & "Emotional Rescue" were considered as Stones blasphemy by us back then... Also, the tempo seemed quite rushed for most songs and the set was unleashed in a machine-gun fire method.

I do remember enjoying Time is on my side, Let it Bleed and YCAGWYW but the rest of the show wasn't so great to us at the time.
I think we were hoping for a setlist that turned up on the Steel Wheels tour but of course, didn't have it.
It was simply a case of our expectation and perception not matching the reality of that particular time.
I remember Keef lying down on Charlie's drum rise and Mick was kicking him in the arse to get up and play. At the time, I didn't feel Keef was giving me my $15 worth but now I think of it as a "precious moment".
I also remember the buzz about 1981-82 most likely being "their last tour" and that they were "old" back then...

Now, I wish I could go back in time and attend that show again as it was what is was and it was purely reflective of the era back then when fast paced punk and new wave styles were prominent.
Looking back, I don't think it sucked at all, I think it was pretty cool.

Listen to She's so cold, (yes Keith has some problem with the guitar, some sound problem obviously but its nothing really). But listen to the bass!! And the piano... F-ck what a f-ckin smokin blo-dy damn fine version. And Mick's great too.

Hi NumberoneStonesfan...

I hear exactly what you are saying. The 1981 tour wasn't always one of my favorites. And I don't think they could have pulled of certain songs with that style of fast paced rock n roll. However the band seemed to be on fire the way they played those songs that year, in an almost coke-fueled urgency and Keith and Ron's guitars just drove the band with Charlie and Bill being a machine behind the guitars. Also loved the choice of songs that tour. Kind of like the Stones saying screw it, we are going to play lots of new stuff because we know it rocks. And I love the way they turned songs like Under My Thumb and Lets Spend the Night Together into guita riff driven songs with so much energy.

This was my third Stones show. Sat in that dump all day waiting for them. Forgot our blow at the hotel. Everybody threw stuff at Iggy which is what they'd been doing to Iggy for years in Detroit. The punters, as you Europeans would refer to them, thought "Santana blew the Stones away." When they finally came on I recall the whole of "Take The A Train" being played as the intro, just like on this recording (and no other I've ever heard). A fabulous night!

Indeed they don't play like this anymore. I don't wear the size 29 pants I wore that night either...
