This week in Wolfgangs Vault, Dec 1st 1981, 21 songs !, listening right now, well we allready have the show in SB quality, but not in this quality...too bad it's lossy, but it's still a great listen
haven't checked if all songs are from the actual concert yet....remember they included some Houston songs in the Detoit 1978 broadcast?

I was at the NOV 30th show in Pontiac...great show...Iggy Pop and Santana backed them up

1981 has quickly become one of my favorite Stones tours, great set lists, high energy rock n roll, lots of songs from a great new album...

1981 was the absolute pinnacle of the Stones' as a live act. (I know, I know, '72 was fantastic, too.) I love everything about the tour: Mick's attitude-laden vox, Keith and Ronnie's inimitable weave, Bill's extremely prominent bass, the football jerseys. (OK, maybe not.) Ernie Watts was a revelation. And the setlists! By the far the best of any Stones' tour: along with all of the warhorses, we got gems such as Black Limousine, SSC, Time, When the Whip Comes Down. And opening with Under My Thumb! Absolutely effing brilliant. (As was the guy that shouted "Will you welcome please, the Rolling Stones!!!) Makes me weep that I was pre-conceptual at the time . . .

My first stones show!! I was in high school. Iggy came out in a skirt! Was immediately pelted with debris, and did a very short set. Santanna played long and hard, and the stones didn't come out until around ten! Was such a long day, all general admission...great show! Fantastic version of Just My Immagination.

I'm listening to Black Limousine right now. It is dig dang smokin! Keith and Ronnie are soloing like nobody's business. And then the sax!

I´m not a fan of the 1981/82 "Jane Fonda Tour" but this is a sensational find! The full show in crystal clear stereo soundboard quality!

JJF & Satisfaction were played at this show as well as Beast Of Burden & Start Me Up also missing on this recording... Still this is a real gem !

That's the download manager for the future, when you can pay for downloads from this site. This is still not possible at this moment.
