When IS Curb coming back?

Hopefully soon- one of the funniest shows on TV.
What the hell is TV going to be like in a few years when all the great shows (Sopranos, The Shield, Curb...etc.) are all gone?

I'm really enjoying Entourage right now. And The Office.

Mourning Deadwood.

Entourage is another good HBO show. Nice touch playing Tumbling Dice at the end of the episode two weeks ago.

Love it. Just discovered it by accident a couple of years ago (its hidden away on More4 in the UK, which is a prety obscure channel) and it soon became the ONLY show I make sure I never miss.

Curbs is great, and i have to say i thought i'd hate the US remake of
'The Office', but i love it. Steve Carrell is brilliant.

You can really see Larry David's influence on Seinfeld by watching Curb. I like how the show is basically improvised with no real scripts. In Canada, we are now getting last year's episodes on tv.
I've been a fan of Entourage since the first season. At the time, I thought it was a bit of a rip off of Swingers. Jeremy Piven is awesome as Ari Gold, the agent.
The Office is probably my favorite tv show right now. I hated the initial couple episodes of the first season where they basically tried to copy the original British episodes. It would be great to see Ricky Gervais do a guest appearance as David Brent, perhaps on holidays in the States.
Lastly, I'm going to get the recent DVD release of the Larry Sanders show, another one of my favorites from the 90's. From what I understand, there were some legal issues surrounding some of the music played on the show so they've released a compilation of episodes. I think season 1 was released a while back in its entirety.

I think Gazza is right. I had heard that they were not sure if it would be back or not but now it appears that they will do another season.

Wicked show. My personal fave show is the one with the rumoured terrorist attack on LA.
I'm surprised you missed the first series which ran on BBC2 Gazza before decsending to the obscurity of More4!

I'd simply never heard of the show and never even knew it was on BBC2.

Yeah..saw Richard Lewis back in October and he said that they were going to start filming soon. I think Sheryl also mentioend it at one point in time.

LOOOOOOVE this show! My friends back at school and I always quote it in almost every other sentence... JU-DYYYYY....prettttty pretttty good....

I just moved to LA from Chicago and I've slowly spotted some of the locations they used in Curb. I live a hop skip from Santa Monica..and it's Curb-Ville! The movie theatre they used...the jewelry store...the deli...

Guy: "Excuse me, are you Jewish?"
Larry: "Do you wanna check my penis?"

There will be 8 episodes in the upcoming final season of Curb. Tentativly to start airing in September.

At the time the last episode aired in December 2005 it was unsure if it was going to resume for another season. The season ended the way it did just in case Larry decided to end the series.

The upcoming season has something to do with the David's taking in a black family that were displaced from New Orleans Katrina.

When I first saw Krazy Eyez rapping to Larry..I was literally on the floor laughing. I couldn't breathe! That is the one episode I use when I want to lure someone into this show. It's my go-to show...cuz I think it's perfect!

l stand corrected Gazza,
it will be great if they do another season

Larry David wrote a movie called SOUR GRAPES, it's out on DVD...I STRONGLY suggest it. If you like Curb and Seinfeld...check it out. It is a very funny movie about two brothers fighting over splitting jackpot money from a slot machine in Atlantic City from a quarter he casually handed him...hope that makes sense?

Casting is brilliant.

Here is a clip from Sour Grapes, just need to watch 4 minutes to get the idea. The youtube quality if this is lousy but you get the idea.

agree on both points. Curb is classic comedy tv from a comedy genius

the (american) Office is also pretty wonderful too. i'm a Office diehard anyway (the original one) and thought the yank version would be a bit shit (having seen their previous attempts at remakes, anyone remember their Fawlty Towers for example?), but it has its own style. a little more joke/comedy based than ours (to be expected) but still fantastically well written and acted

We might be in for some GREAT episodes! (his loss/our gain)
It seems obvious that most of the "plots" are based
on his real-life experiences......recently (in real life) he
caught his REAL WIFE cheating on him...and is divorcing her.

I'm sure you know...but I'll mention...the George Costanza character is
based on Larry David.

IORR............but I like it!

I'm also a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm - though haven't seen all episodes or series.

Another good one I stumbled across by chance here in the UK is Green Wing.
