there's some pretty f*#kin' amazing stuff on these lists; dedicated, show-seeking, traveling rock 'n roll fans, with an encyclopedia/history of memories/sounds/stories....

great stuff; let's hear more and keep it rolling. any classic biggies we're missing? hendrix, joplin, doors, lennon.....(i think there was one beatles w/bad sound in the list)...or later bands like VU, ramones, cure, smiths, REM, nirvana, etc.

I saw a Jimi Hendrix imitator in th late '70's when I was 15 years old.
His name was Randy Hansen - some of you may have heard of him.
He dressed up like Hendrix with a wig, and played only Hendrix music.
It wasn't very good, I wouldn't even add him to my concert list.
Kind of like tribute band Beatlemania, but with lots of feedback and distortion.

Just the highlights--1957-Elvis[mom took me]--1964-Beach Boys[striped shirts], Beatles in K.C.[only stadium with field seating]--1965-Stones, Byrds[2 sets in a allmost empty ballroom]--1966-Dylan[1st half acustic, second with the Band], Paul Revere and The Raiders [greatest R+R SHOW ever!]-- 1967-Young Rascals [fantastic,Dino is rock's Buddy Rich], Airplane at the Fillmore--1968- Hendrix, The Doors[the crowd overran the riot police lining the stage], first of 30 Dead concerts between'68 and'72--1969-Woodstock--1970-Allman Brothers at Ludlows Garage--1972-Elvis--mid 70's-Jerry Lee Lewis goes wild at a Ramada Inn!--1978- Stones greatest tour[2 cities]--80's-Fab.T-Birds, Dirt Band, Mighty Clouds of Joy[a nurse stationed at each side of stage]--90's-Stones BTB Pay Per View concert--2004-Dylan at a 1,000 seat beer hall[played piano whole show].
