I love this album so much, the sound is sooo good, almost as good as black and blue.

I really really love the extended version of Emotional Rescue on the "Rarities 1971-2003".

Keith really shines and on this track.

It's a very good album, imo, exceptionally well recorded. Features the band masterfully moving forward after SG especially in the effortless grooves and Keith/Ron's guitar entente, and they're at an intuitive, collaborative peak. The songs are just odd/coke fueled/bratty enough that when they reach for more (Down In The Hole, All About You) they hit hard.

I like most of the songs (except Indian Girl wich should have been replaced by 'Let's Go Steady' IMO). But I don't like the sound. It's too slick and clean. Emotional Rescue could have been as great as Some Girls if the Stones (read Jagger) didn't go for the save "radio friendly" mix. A rougher mix would have made it a far better album. Missed oportunity!!

And Keith doesn't play guitar on Emotional Rescue.

I made the same mistake a few weeks ago!

So, maybe it would have fitted the rarities-album very well...

Although Keith does shine on his backing vocals on ER's title track at the end.
