It's a very good album, imo, exceptionally well recorded. Features the band masterfully moving forward after SG especially in the effortless grooves and Keith/Ron's guitar entente, and they're at an intuitive, collaborative peak. The songs are just odd/coke fueled/bratty enough that when they reach for more (Down In The Hole, All About You) they hit hard.
I like most of the songs (except Indian Girl wich should have been replaced by 'Let's Go Steady' IMO). But I don't like the sound. It's too slick and clean. Emotional Rescue could have been as great as Some Girls if the Stones (read Jagger) didn't go for the save "radio friendly" mix. A rougher mix would have made it a far better album. Missed oportunity!!
