Same here. I didn't even have a live recording from her until now. Found one on dimeadozen. My god what a voice she has. I will definitely look more into her work.

RE: Chuck Berry - The Great 28 is a good place to start. Alas, it doesn't have his only Number One song (My Ding-A-Ling).

Roxette got a few great songs, so do Genesis. The single off Jon Bon Jovi's solo album was nice even though the material of his band isn't my cup of tea for the most part. I don't know if I could say that I admire these artists. Probably not really.
I'd get a KLF best of compilation, if they ever allowed one, just for the song they did with Tammy Wynette, but I don't have a Tammy Wynette record. German duo Mixed Emotions got that cool vintage keyboard sound from their Fairlight synthesizer, but most of their lyrics can make one cringe if paying attention. There are many great cover versions of Mickey Jupp tunes around, but he doesn't seem to make records anymore.

This whole famous people appreciation thing seems to go much further now than it did in the early 90s. Or why else does Paris Hilton's record sell now, whereas Naomi Campbell's didn't then?

Funny. I would say Green and Fables of the Reconstruction were must haves.

If you ever want to get a discussion going, try to agree on the best R.E.M. album with a fan!

Funny, I would say Monster and New Adventures in Audio Hi-Fi were the 2 best R.E.M. ablums....

But as for someone I like but don't own:

Christina
Beyonce
Shakira
