My guess is when the crowds started doubling or tripling at The Crawdaddy, Ken Colyer's, etc.
At that point, they had to realize that they weren't your average blues band. All those hours of Brian and Keith playing together to keep from freezing started to pay off.

Good ol' charle. I remember reading an interview with charlie years ago in which he said something like: I don't know whats its like to be famous. Noboby ever asks me anything. I'm just the sweaty bugger in the back playing the drums.
I guess, Mick thinks, he's the greatest. OK, he is! Keith surely is very proud of his band, but besides very down-to-earth. Charlie isn't THE star-typus, he's just the greatest gentleman in this business. And Ronnie? I guess, he even doesn't know that the Rolling Stones are handeled to be the "Greatest Rock'n Roll Band"

Oh god, the Setlist Creatures again. After a brief respite, just a precursor or "glimmer" of what is to come soon . . . AGAIN. Spare me.

No. Then I would be engaging in this endless argument which grows tiresome, for at least some of us, just as for some, THE PLEXIGLASS grows tiresome. However, the Plexiglass has its supporters and those who are amused, evidently not including you. That is fine. Just because you can't see the humour, I can see the humor.
