Yeah, they've gotta be up there too. Among many, I really dig "Houses Of The Holy" and "Song Remains The Same". Talking songs here, but those CD's are the bomb too. Cool trick of the song HOTH not being on HOTH album.

I'm trying to think of other examples of an album being titled after a song that wasn't on there but came out later. I'm sure there must be some ... anyone?

I think Tighter, Tighter was also produced by Tommy too. The band was called Alive and Kickin'
Great Tommy James and the Shondells hits you could also mention are Crystal Blue Persuasion, Hanky Panky, Mony Mony, Ball of Fire,Sugar on Sunday and I Think We're Alone Now. Tommy was great.
(Draggin' the Line was solo Tommy, minus the Shondells)

Well, Neil Young played on the classic "Buffalo Springfield Again" album in '67 before releasing a sweetly goofy song by that name in 2000. But it's not quite as unconventional as the Zep situation as it was a delibrate tribute, rather than the quirky move of dropping a title track, leaving the album title, then releasing the outtake on the next album. Zeppelin were so good at cultivating an aura of mystery around themselves by pulling stunts like that. It's as if they knew it would be discussed endlessly by FM DJs and stoned kids sitting around dorm rooms...
Meanwhile, Neil Young also worked the other way by including the song "Broken Arrow" on the aforementioned Springfield album and then using that term for the title of a 1996 album with Crazy Horse. The album is a neglected gem, by the way--sprawling California mountain music.
And, oh yes--Neil Young is most certainly my favorite artist along with the Stones. Dylan comes next...

Pete Townshend did a song called "Face Dances" recorded after the Who's album.
Hey Elmo. If ya still around. I hope you don't mind if I go a little OT here. Got a Seger question for ye. Gettin pumped for this Sat. Been checking out recent setlists. Looks like now he does both Fire Down Below & Horizontal Bop. Did he do these in Atlanta and has he done You'll Accompany Me at all on this tour?
This is tough. I agree with Elmo, it changes as often as my moods change. I listen to a lot of different stuff, but I keep coming back to three bands: The Stones, The Beach Boys (yes, they are the most influential American group ever, IMHO) and the Beatles. Everyone else in the 60s and beyond were influenced by them in one fashion or another.

The Doors: Waiting for the Sun (the album) came out before Waiting for the Sun (the song) on Morrison Hotel

Hey ohno youv'e hijacked Elmo's thread. But a very interesting question. Now I'm gonna have ta go looking through my cd collection and see if I can find any others.
"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"
A very tough one. Zep and Beatles. I'm in the middle of a serious Physical Grafitti addiction thats lasted about two weeks. Playing Sick Again, Custard Pie and a few others over and over and over. Wife thinks it's all the Stones... LMAO
a few months ago I'd have answered Led Zeppelin as my 2nd favorite, but now I say that The Black Crowes have firmly moved into that spot...by a sliver.
Like most my musical tastes fluctuate, and on any given day my favorites are subject to change.
Dependin and varyin: TSOOL, Hobo Blues Band, Gasolin', Purple, P Mobil,Thin Lizzy. Most of the time either of them. From: Sweden, Hungary, Denmark, UK, Hungary & Ireland.
He did "Bop" and "Fire Down Below" ,but no "You'll Accompany Me". Don't think he's played it at all this tour. Great show though. Head to your seat when you hear "The Boys Are Back In Town" begin playing over the PA. They take the stage to that. Enjoy!
