Which would one would you rather see live at every show?

As many times as I have heard Midnight Rambler, I have to go with Can't You Hear Me Knocking

Rambler.

Out Of Control is a very close second, though.

Knockin' is great, but it doesn't get the same groove & build-up as the other two.

The last 2 are great groove songs, but i'm not much a "jam session" kinda guy. I much rather see the Stones rock it out with a solid heavy hitter instead of going into a 9 minute jam. Out of Control is a nice change of pace and shows the boys are still badass beyond the 1970's.

In concert: no losers, but with a knife on my throat I'd say:

1. Midnight Rambler - evil, groovy, best live song ever written
2. Out Of Control - great build-up, but not as multidimensional as MR (only 3D or so, not 5D), second place because I've never seen it live.
3. CYHMK - Evil in the groove, the rif, the solo's, but the audience-reaction will be slightly lower than on the others, esp. MR

Got to see them do both CYHMK and Midnight Rambler in Hartford. Loved hearing MR as the encore, great way to end the show. I always thought You Can't Always Get What You Want was bad as the encore, fits better in the middle of the show. But seems like the encores these days are pretty much always the same.

But to answer your question, Midnight Rambler will always be my favorite Stones song live. It has everything the Stones are about and always kicks ass live.

Imagine this B-stage set!

OOC: A song about emotional turmoil that the band cannot pull off without cueing the audience with flashing lights and a spastic dance. It should be re-named "I'm Having A Fit." Ronnie wails away on the wah-wah satisfied that he's making noise. Can't the band convey anything musically without the cues? Interesting that MR is mentioned here because the band is doing the same thing with that classic song. It rings false. It's artificial.

Out Of Control, I never heared it live at a show, would be the second one.
CYHMK is pretty good, I heared it once but it's no song, I want to hear at every show - good to hear it once or two times, compareable with Sway

Three of my favorite Stones songs and I have seen all live at least 3 times, can't say which one is my favorite. I would love to see a show with all of them and put in Fingerprint File too!
