I saw Amyl & the Sniffers in May at Logan Auditorium in Chicago. They're returning to play the Vic in Sept, about 3 times bigger venue. She crushes! Comfort to Me is a great album!

They are playing a bigger venue in Seattle in early October. Sadly I had already purchased tickets for Afghan Whigs on the same night.
I've mentioned this on the forum already but I got to meet Amy in May. I had shown up to collect my ticket (gave my extra 1 away). It must've been good karma. I turned to walk away & there was Amy. We chatted for a bit about Aussie bands. She's a totally sweet Aussie lady, very down to earth offstage. I should've asked her to marry me when I had the chance, haha.

I was disappointed when Amyl & The Sniffers tour ended in May(?) after coming no farther south on the East Coast than Baltimore. I hadn't kept up with them from there -- had other shows to see and covid from it and then Springsteen tix to hassle with. I didn't realize when they extended their stay here they added a show in DC. The 9:30 Club made room for them, it looks like, for a 10 pm late show Saturday Sep 24, after a different band plays its previously scheduled show earlier in the night.
Thanks for the Amyl talk that prompted me to check! This afternoon I snagged a ticket for that DC show.
I'm surprised it wasn't already sold out. Well, they're still a new band, it takes a while for people to catch on... and frenetic, totally awesome punk rock from a half-naked Australian wild woman isn't to everybody's tastes, I suppose.

Just bought a ticket to Michael Monroe's 60th birthday show here in Helsinki on September 23.
Hanoi Rocks will reunite for that show in their original lineup of Monroe, Andy McCoy, Sami Yaffa, Nasty Suicide and Gyp Casino!
How about that?

Now THAT would be cool, have always wanted to see him at Legends. Might even be worth flying in for if say I could see two or three shows in a week. I assume you have attended those shows before. About when are they typically announced?
