Agree but they are out there. I've seen Parquet Courts several times, glad to see they are working on another album. Another band I need to see is Twin Peaks, garage band out of Chicago.

not really new but worthy: check out the Magpie Salute. good solid rock from Rich Robinson & other former Black Crowes + others. it becomes clear where the problem was in the Crowes. looks like Rich got custody of the sacred Humble Pie 8-track whilst Chris took the Hateful Fred collection. seriously, the Magpie Salute cd is really great & i've heard some great live tapes. some originals, some Crowes material & some really great covers.

Magpie Salute will check them out!! Might see LCD Soundsystem in Boston this December. Another single from their new album comes out today.
