Re: IORR T-Shirt graphix - what we have, so far

I like the black t-shirt with the Jagger silhouette in the circle, only with a different font for www.iorr.org

I think this thread is supposed to just contain the graphics, not the comments on them.

I want something 100% stones-related as an image.
Either silhouette all four or just some text.
It should be easy to spot from stage or anywhere.
Even by half blind people.
Think big. Think simple. Think clean.
The simpler the better. And the esier to recongnize.
That is why most modern logos are very simple and clean.
The T-shirt print should be equally simple.
Just a message. IORR etc. Plus a clean simple smashing image.

Thanks!

Bjornulf

Keep this in mind - and good luck!

Cherry red with white letters would be eye catching, and consistent with the Stones colors (red/white/black). The red Churchill Downs shirts were very popular and sold for $100+ on EBAY, but I will leave the colors to the fashion police.

I'm not big on wearing band T-shirts nor do I live in Europe, but as a graphic artist I'll offer these opinions. I think this would make a great shirt for IORR. I haven't looked at all of the posts, and I don't know if much of this has already been covered.

Add ".org". Make it read "IORR.ORG". Otherwise, "IORR" are simply four letters to anyone who is not initiated in www.iorr.org.

IORR
Since 1980

Make this 2 lines.

Change the typeface, at least for line 1.

See if you can negotiate rights for this image, if possible. Copyright issues aside, I think that this image works best, because it is readily identified with the phrase "It's Only Rock 'n Roll".

I'm surprised to hear myself sing

I would wear this shirt...
I like it.

Did you do that graphic? That's incredibly good.
Perhaps a bit too much - I mean, killing Mick - but basically, wow!

I totally agree with you! I'm glad the Stones changed Starf#cker into Star Star!

But hell is also not good because it's bad.

yep....very condescending to others......then doesn't seem to have much confidence in her own work that she and her mysterious dream team are laboring on "at no charge".....how sweet

Made by Guy Peellaert who also designed the It's only Rock n Roll cover.

Great drawning but copyrighted!

Please elaborate, what do you mean with illogic and ill judged?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're offended by the F-word why do you listen to a rock and roll band with songs like @#$%& and @#$%& Blues?!

sidonia- let me try and make it crystal clear for you

- i would be uncomfortable to wear a garment, with a word in it, that many people find deeply offensive and i would feel unconfortable airing in public, for all to see (children included)
...my humble choice- apologies if you disagree

- listening to lyrics with expletives- my humble choice again,
if i choose to do so.
- a little bit different, in my opinion, to parading myself down the street,
with expletives plastered all over me.
