by his beloved Eel Pie Club.

Dear All,

Happy New Year from The Eel Pie Club.

Just to let you know that our Tribute to Art Wood will be at Clarendon
Hall, York House, Twickenham on Sunday 25 March, from 6-10:30pm approx and
all proceeds will benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity. Hope you can make
it. It will be called A R T - A Musical Tribute to Art Wood and
Celebration of his Life, and it will be a very special night. There will
be a host of musical celebrities and performers, including a special
line-up of 'The Art Wood All-Stars'. Ronnie Wood is donating a signed
print of one of his paintings to auction and the RFU is donating tickets
for both Rod Stewart and Genesis for raffle or auction. Advance tickets
are £17.50 (£15 Eel Pie Club Members). All tickets will be £20 on the
door, if available. Credit card bookings can be made from next week via

You may have read in the newspapers the sad news that Arthur Chisnall, the
original owner of The Eel Pie Island Jazz Club passed away at The Princess
Alice Hospice on Thursday 28 December. He was our inspiration and mentor
for the Eel Pie Club and we will always remember him. For those who knew
Arthur, his funeral will be at Mortlake Crematorium on Friday 12 January,
at 2 pm.

Thats it for now. Hope to see you on 10 January at the Patch for our
first gig of 2007 with The Deputies.

I think they are two different people.

i'm sure there will be a meet-up location organised, closer to the event.
- plenty of good pubs in Twickenham to choose from

remember it's an early start.....doors open 5pm...show starts 6pm

...there's alot to fit in.

To complete the family occasion, it would be great if the Leah Wood Band would come out of retirement for one last performance - she rocked at the Eel Pie Club a couple of years ago.

For all those who have bought tickets and might be wondering where they are ... I phoned Keith Prowse ticketing to enquire and was told the tickets are due to be sent out week starting Monday 12th Feb.

Just got me a ticket!

Looking forward to a great afternoon / evening, and of course seeing all you IORR cats again.

If there is a pre-show meet please post on here..I think it might be a 'special' evening...Who knows, might be around the time they announce the new tour, so you never know who might be in the UK???
