Dylan 1975 (from Bootleg Series, released 3 yrs ago)
Bjork Live Box (this is incredible!! Bjork is a genius)
The Name of this Band Is Talking Heads (Reissue, from last year... Always was fantastic, now it's twice as long and incredible!!)

And of course:

Ya Ya's and Leeds (Who)

i have to say its hard to top dylan 66..

get yer ya yas out

i love the beatles esher white album demos

the deads hundred year hall...especially the second half of cd 1 is just incredible

the quintet at massey hall..with charlie parker, mingus, dizzy, bud powell and max roach..sheesh......

there's a ton of live jazz which is great

i like the sinatra live in australia 59

Rolling Stones - Brussels Affair
Van Morrison - Montreux 1990
B.B. King - Montreux 1989
Commander Cody & his Lost Planet Airmen: Live From Deep In The Heart Of Texas

You will notice that three of them are bootlegs which means that those artists have not released their best live recordings officially (though some of hteir official live albums are very good, indeed).

Temptations LIVE! 1966.


Marvin Gaye Live in 1973 or 74..? ( I dont remember which) at the Oakland Arena. It wasnt from a tour, just a single show he did after the Lets Get It On album came out. I dont like every single song on it, but the good stuff is SOO good, like "Distant Lover" and the Medley of "Flying High in the Friendly skies/Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology)".


the live dylan CD from 75 that came out is really cool.

Of course you've gotta go with Ya-Ya's.
