I'm super busy at work and can't read all the posts. Did they say how many pairs of tickets they are giving away? There will still be tickets on sale at some point, correct?

Thanks!

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Key question Cindy. I've asked it myself. Wouldn't we all love to know huh ?

yep...and the question in the contest specifically asks you to state why "rs.com should send YOU to the beacon" - which indicates its a freebie with no payment required for any tickets you may win.

yet on their site theyve specifically announced that the ticket prices for this show are $50 and $35.

Logical deduction from that is that the contest will NOT be the only way to get tickets.

Re: Beacon Ticket Contest

2000 tickets x 50 dollars = 10.000 dollars.
Or may be 500 tickets x 50 dollars = 25.000 dollars.
Pocket money for the Stones.
This show is to record a DVD not to make money.
It is not important for them if they give away 1, 100 or 1000 tickets.
But I would assume they will sell VIP packages and lots more.
They have 11 days to use all channles available,
for marketing and publicity.
Expect new info about Beacon tickets almost daily.

PS. Total capacity of Beacon is now 2.300 as they have blocked 600 seats for cameras, mixing desk, crew etc.

I wonder about....I can't book a flight in 4 days time to go to New York.
I haven't taken part of the competition. But...if I did, just 2 give the 2 tickets to some friends on IORR, would that be possible? Or do you have to pick up the tickets yourself? Somebody knows?

"Tickets admit the winners only - they cannot be copied, transferred, shared or sold to anyone else."

From the terms & conditions ...........

Tickets admit the winners only - they cannot be copied, transferred, shared or sold to anyone else. The Fan Club reserves the right to revoke tickets to any contest winner it feels appropriate with no need for explanation. The Rolling Stones reserve the right to refuse admission, or to eject any person whose conduct the management deems to be disorderly or intrusive upon the enjoyment of other guests.

Does this mean we would have to declare who would use the other ticket upon notification of winning?

OK, so there's no point in giving Gazza a ticket anyway, then.

Absolutely NO point in giving Gazza a ticket. He not only would threaten the other guests, he is a threat to society in general and should be locked up.

What the hell is going on -- I just entered the contest and I was NOT asked why they should send me to the Beacon. ????

And where are all these rules and regulations you guys are pasting above, I didn't see those either??

They( RS.com ) posted a contest about a month ago to some of the really large venues and at the time you had to give the name of your guest . If in fact you were to win

but i am a former member btw so i have no guilt

Eric_Snow...
You could always buy a ticket or two and I'm sure you'd have more takers than you need.

Do you all agree with this? Sale of tix comes on or after the 25th when they announce the contest winners.

Oh yes, thanks for the idea. Then again, I can't go to NY, and I'm pretty sure you'll have to pick up the ticket, in person....

Where did you find this out?

Re: Beacon Ticket Contest

I am glad I looked at those rules and regulations, because even though I have 2 RS.com accounts, I can only enter once. Otherwise, you can be disqualified.

there is a box where you enter in your story of why they should choose you. How can people miss that? Also, it asks which show (29th or 31st) you would like to be entered for.
