Sounds like Keith 'had words' with his security guy for letting you get that close, and Mr. Security had to take it out on you for not doing HIS job himself.

The problem with us "grown up" fans is that we wear suits and ties now but never really grow up ...

great story but i hate these @#$%& security guys, they think they're god or even above. i had a similar experience in london while visiting ronnies art exhibition at the scream gallery. i just had a photo with me and they were nearly going crazy. altough i didn't approach ronnie, i was just watching and waiting, they told me to get the pic outside the gallery.

what could i do to him with a pic sized a4 - wrap him up and carry away??

Great story, congratulations on a beautifully thought out and executed plan. The suit and business guy thing was a great cover; that security guard has to be so pissed at himself. His boss is probably saying to him right now "if you ever let anyone get near one of my principals again ..."

I really think it's great that Midnight devised a plan and followed it through to what I'm guessing was a better outcome than expected, but was anybody else creeped out while reading this?

I'm not ridiculing...I'm just curious if anybody else felt that way.

I donn't think Midnight Tolker is stalker. He's a joker, he's a smoker, but he's not a stalker.

Great strategy and planning. They always stay at the Olympic Fairmont Hotel when the RS are in town. I'm sure Mr. Security is going to be given a few words by his boss. His next assignment "The Wiggles".

Congrats

Ronnie is THE nicest celebrity I've ever met, and I've met quite a few. But I think if I actually met my idol Keith I'd faint. How sad would that be!...a fifty-year-old man fainting.

wow what a story i saw them arrive at the hotel in halifax i was even in the local paper being in the crowd but wow what a story. maybe next time i'll slip into a janitor's outfit and mop around . But you can't blame security they got a job to do. And i love the quote you gave him , true indeed they are in 1 st place when it comes to rock royalty. They are to rock and roll music and the concert entity as to what bobby orr was to hockey, the best.

To meet your idol is one thing, but to stalk people like that is a scary thought.
Lucky for you Keith didn't kick you in the balls. I've met him once, but it was completely random.
He's one of the kindest people on earth.

keith and i shook hands and smiled at each other for for a very long 10 seconds when he came off the b-stage at the united center, chicago '03. he remembered me from front row in front of him at the wiltern. we didn't need words, our eyes did the talking. lucky for me there was no bodyguard. i went to the same spot the next night hoping for a repeat but his bodyguard was holding him up while he walked/staggered below me, not looking up. he appeared completely wasted but had just put on an amazing b-stage performance.

Midnight T, amazing! Excellent maneuvering.

I've only met one of the 'principals', Mr. Ronnie, coming into his art show.
