HOT ROCKS when it first came out. My buddy bought one a week later and got the one with the alternative versions of Wild Horses and Brown Sugar. Figures.

the ROLLING STONES in 1964 ,the first album released in Great Britain without anything written on the front cover,still got it aswell.
It was however not the first album I bought that was The Animals ,bought the same day as The Five Faces of Manfred Mann both bought at Boots record department in Liverpool about a month earlier

Sticky Fingers in 1971 when I was 13. One of first records I bought. I heard Brown Sugar and that was the first time I really got hooked on the Stones.

My brother's Forty Licks got me into them, then I bought Live Licks. First studio album I bought were Steel Wheels and Dirty Work (because they were the cheapest).

First one in our house was "Hot Rocks" but can't remember for sure whether I or my brother bought it or how it ended up in our possession. I definitely remember spending my hard earned lawn service money on "Sticky Fingers soon after instead of the latest baseball cards which is where most of my money went back then.

Get Stoned a TV advertised compilation with a similar tracklisting to Decca's Rolled Gold. I bought it with Christmas money in 1977. This was follwed by Love You Live and the new album Some Girls in 1978 and I have never looked back.
