Posted by: Nelson ()

Nelson just arrived from my music store. I found a lot of bootleg Iwe never seen before, I wanted to hear with you first before buing. There was the well known "brussels affair" who I will buy tommorow. But There were also an album called "lounges out in Leeds" or something from -71. And a bunch of recordings from different cities in us during their -81 tour called "crossfire hurricane".What do you think friends?

""lounges out in Leeds" or something from -71" is "Get Your Leeds Lungs Out!" - the next best thing after Brussels Affair, I think, also a must. The atmosphere on Leeds Lungs is very relaxed, the boys seem to enjoy themselves. E.g. Stray Cat Blues, Brown Sugar and Satisfaction are great.

Brussles 73 is excellent.
And yes get "Get your Leeds Luings out" from 71. It is also a must.
For 78 look for Handsome Girls; for 81 look for Hampton. For 89 look for Atlantic City. For 94 Miami. The clubshows from 95-99. Marquee 71. Oakland 69, san Diego 69. From 72 look for shows from the South (Houston, Ft Worth).
For 75 - LA
76 - Paris, Knebworth
98 - Bremen, Rio
99 - Las vegas
Licks tour - all the clubshows in NYC, Utrecht, London, LA etc
ABB - Rio, Columbus

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

My advice would be to NEVER buy a bootleg.
Most probably you'll spend too much money, and time, on keep on searching - searching - searching, and you'll never be satisfied....just keep the hunt going, until you're out of family, job, house etc etc, but with 500 bootlegs in a shelf...on a naked field.

Pretty much what I would write too. Although I think Buenos Aires 06 is better than Rio 06. And there's some awesome South American gigs from 1995.

There are few bootlegs today. Most so called bootlegs are downloads or CDRs. A bootleg is a commercially available recording so whereas 11 years ago your dealer would have about half a dozen shows by the end of the tour now only few leak out because every one has downloaded and there's no money in it (my dealer just got Milan so far from this tour). Sad really but if boots weren't so expensive they might compete a little.

I would add 1997 - St. Louis, Glasgow 2006 and Stones Touring Party 1972.
