Vinyl, right? (Or??)
Made bargains myself at Harvest Records in my old hometown
(no record store whatsoever in the outback town where I'm now)
for 3 SKR, which should be avout 25p/each.
Did buy one too many LPs w/ Demis Roussos, want some recent one.. ?

All on cd! Buy loads from Ebay as well. Go for the unusual stuff and you can usually get it for a couple of quid.

suprisingly very good- 'Venus' and 'Send Me A Postcard'
are great, late 60's pop/rock.

This week:
In the latest parcel from Amazon were:
Gram Parsons: The Complete Reprise Sessions
Buried Alive: New Barbarians (sorry, I've never heard the bootleg so I can't make comparisons. But this CD is great)
Archie Bronson Outfit: Derdang Derdang. Bought this on the strength of a newspaper review and I love it: I've seen it described as "psychedelic punk folk-rock", but you really need to listen:

The local HMV at sale time produced:
Jerry Lee Lewis: Last Man Standing
Tom Waits: Bone Machine
Nanci Griffith: One Fair Summer Evening
Boxed set of the Byrds: Sweetheart of the Rodeo and Live at the Fillmore
Boccherini: Sonatas for 2 Harpsichords played by William Christie/Christophe Rousset

Plus a bargain-basement copy of Bob Marley's Natural Mystic from the rack in the Post Office.

Adrian-L: I've bought the Shocking Blue album this year too: I'm fed up with being played all those rubbish cover versions: the ORIGINAL Venus rocks!

that's a great shopping list GreenLady...HMV Richmond per chance?

Got the Shocking Blue cd, on the back of hearing
"send me a postcard" on Mark Lamarr's Radio show.
..he plays some terrific stuff- really knows his music.

Yes, Richmond HMV. Good for the record collection but bad for the finances!

I've just been listening to Mark Lamarr guesting on harmonica with the Downliners Sect and Art Wood, singing Hoochie Coochie Man from the CD recorded at York House a few years ago.
