Dodger Stadium Wide Open??

On the Shidoobee page, they are saying that this gig is wide open, but I have been checking Tickemaster, and it seems that it is selling very well. Anyone have any info on this? I am wondering whether we will get the rumored LA Arena show.

Also, it seems that Giants Stadium is finally starting to fill up. So maybe MSG in addition to the Beacon Theater? Boston looks like a lost cause, though.

Yesterday I was pulling up 12 together in all price ranges. Today I didnt check all prices but you can still get 12 together on the floor.

The best way to fill seats without lowering ticket prices: more older songs...As Tears Go By was great but so would Out of Time, Mother's Little Helper, Tell Me. More ABB would be nice but I doubt it would sell any extra tickets....

I don't recall the setlist being printed in the advertisements for the show.

Sad, sad, sad for a "last world tour". Overdose of Stones on the Eastern Coast, for Boston, NY and Chicago. Where is the Promises Land ?

I do hope Boston picks up...I've brought youthful newbies to 3 of the past 4 shows I attended, & the crowd energy is something that the Stones (& I) feed off. I thought a stadium date on their 3rd swing thru town was a mistake, especially given no airplay for the latest album...No one could pull that off, tho I hope I'm wrong and tix start selling as 9/20 gets close.

They are running out of "reasons" for "postponing" shows.Let's hope that Watts doesn't get attacked by a shark.

No, but there was a buzz created when they announced they would vary the shows and play more obscure songs during the Licks tour...

This show is listed at starting at the unusually early time of 5:30pm. That would suggest that L.A. will get 2 opening acts, so maybe they will bring a heavyweight to help sell tickets. It won't be Eric Clapton though as he is playing in Japan at the time.

If only THE SPICE GIRLS would regroup to help our boys sell more tickets.... What a "KILLER" opening act that would be....

Giants is, what, a month away or less? Where are the 20,000 people who are suddenly going to snap up MSG tickets at mostly $450 a pop going to come from even if they manage to wallpaper Giants well enough to make it look close to a sell out?

Forget it. The only large scale show in the NY area this autumn will be at Giants Stadium. There isnt the time or demand to sell another one. Your best bet is the rumoured 2nd Beacon show on Hallowe'en in the event they decide to let mere mortals buy tickets for it. And from what I've heard, they wont be in the promised $50 price range if it comes off.

I'd pay for that. Maybe even one of the 12th-14th row singles still lingering on Ticketmaster.
