Always wondered about the correct pronounciation of HUll... Is it "Harll" or "Hooll", or..?
When I was born there was a blizzard & one of the coldest & snowiest winters for ages. I was the second hairiest baby born at that pretty large hospital. Shines a little more light over my choice of user name...
Detroit, Michigan (a few short years after my parents arrived from Europe) - Home of White Stripes, Iggy Pop, (cough) Madonna, MC5, Bob Segar?, Michael Moore (sort of), More violence and poverty than you'll ever NEED...
Moved to Los Angeles - home of The Doors, Beach Boys, and Charlie Manson - before The Brain turned 2. Papa was smart to head West and if he had to do it today he would have stayed in Europe (Sweden) with Mom the way things are going here...no one really wants to be at the Fall of the Roman Empire....(but that's still a few years away, give GWB a bit more time)....

Well, MicksB The City Of Death I spoke about at the beginning of this thread... Detroit & Sundsvall (where I saw 1st daylight) is like each others mirrors... So ya half-Swede, huh? Guess ya had yer share of concrete, factories & thick smoke from chimneys, right? Pity for us we have no LA here; but I found my Weston-ish town pretty nearby where there is peace, quiet & fresh air... At times I feel the city pulse callin', but this feelin' gets weaker and weaker. Still, thats my roots.
Scattered over the place, mainly Southern states, just like the Indians on the Highway he repeatedly brought up. When we read him closely a more complex geographic picture arises; more countryside, Tallahasse, St Petersburg, etc.
[touristguide.com] Florida for non-knowers. Tallahassee is another key place. WHile we stayed up nites interpreting his works back in 88-89 we experienced several meetings with the man (NO! No drugs).
... here are some other answers for this quiz________

Yes - when he was 20. LOL. He was born in Melbourne, Florida (near Cape Canaveral). His father was a very senior Naval officer so the family moved around quite a bit when he was a child (Florida, DC, Northern california and others) . He didnt actually live in LA until he left home and went to UCLA
