They opened with it back in 1999 and now again ?! its too soon. This is how they should open the shows.....lights go down ...jungle music and then jagger walks out on stage with a cowbell in hand walks up to the mic and taps out the intro to Honky tonk women...then Charlie ...then KEEF !!!

who cares if they open with JJF, they'll play it anyway.

My first Stones show was 2003 in Olympiahalle Munich and they opened this great show with a frenetic version of STREET FIGHTING MAN...just brilliant!
My second show, third (...) were some of the European shows now, and I must say that I liked JUMPING JACK FLASH as opener, sure it may be a bit boring for older fans, who were 1999 on several shows...but for them it also might be boring, to hear JJF as encore, as they played it on Steel Wheels, Urban Jungle, Voodoo Lounge, Licks...

We in the hague say..lets open with ..We Love You..play She a rainbow in the middle and end it with SFM!!!

They opened Paradiso twice with Not Fade away......

In Brixton (london) and L'Olimpia (paris) they opened with HTW indeed!!

They opened with HTW in '76. I remember the first night in Glasgow - Keith blasting out the opening chord and Mick twirling a parasol, hiding his face from the audience. It was a blast; never confuse the old bump and grind with too slow!

Fukc me! Open it with WTWCD played fast and like in 78 - 82 without the boogie woogie bass. And anyway, really!

jjflash is a great opener,but imo not so good as the start me up 89/90.
i think they became very inflexible due to the programming of the light show. they programmed certeain sequences for certain songs. if you look at a original setlist you will find there the speed of every song. sure the musicians need a certain speed to play along, but also the light show. the show lights have become so complex ,that space for improvisation isn`t there.
all in all , i have no problem with that. i am glad that i get/got the opportunity to see the stones live. jjflash is a must have at a stadium gigs, so why not as an opener?

Because they opened with it in europe in 1999, it should be our turn for start me up as they have not opened shows in europe with it since 1990

Satisfaction hasn't been used as a UK opener since Knebworth 76. Cranked up like Superbowl40 with bare band would be great.

watching the fever-pitched reaction in Nice the other night as Keith flickered the opening chords of 'Paint it Black', it struck me that of all their best known songs, thats one which is long overdue being an opener

They opened with IORR sometime in the past??? PIB should be tried too for sure. And one thing I'd love: Mick and Keef sitting on the edge of the stage playing You Can't Always Get What You Want. Then it goes up and ends in that soul groove.
