RE: TICKETS

Was hoping to procure Gillette Stadium tix, BUT...

Please realize my love for this band...its just getting too greedy
in my eyes!!

Already a Platinum Member on the official site.
Used the presale code for a previous show on Bigger Bang tour.
Now they want another $100.00??????

I find it totally terrible policy to have to shell out another $100.00,
just to get a presale code in order to hopefully get decent seats.
I am a huge fan of the Stones, and over the past Licks tour, and
Bigger Bang, I have literally spent THOUSANDS to see them.
I am now finding that this is a bit much.
We are the ones who finance this juggernaut called the Rolling Stones, when do we begin to get treated like TRUE FANS!

BLASHPHEMOUS!

This is what it would've cost If I had purchased another membership, in order to get decent seats:
Tickets (Rolling Stones)
Ticket + additional $100.00 rollingstones.com Purchase US $352.50 x 2
Total Convenience Charge(s)

US $20.05 x 2

A $100 USD ONE-YEAR ROLLINGSTONES.COM FAN CLUB MEMBERSHIP HAS BEEN ADDED AS PART OF YOUR PRESALE TICKET ORDER US $100.00 x 1
Total Convenience Charge(s)

Order Processing Charge(s) US $3.30
Standard Mail

TOTAL CHARGES US $848.40

I could've went with lower section(non field) about 19 rows up for
approximately $500.

Totally realize Mick has a zillion kids to put thru college,;-) or to buy homes for ...BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. A slap in the face to a true blue fan.

At some point this organization needs to start measuring our buying habits from the past, and give them the treatment they deserve, which is
REASONABLE pricing, and GOOD SEATS.

Good day mates, no ill will intended, just pissed off.

All you have to do is use the AMEX sale 10 minutes ago I was pulling up Section A4 row 20 - dead center for 350.00 a seat

I agree it is ridiculous, especially to hear them coast and play the same songs again. My friends make fun of the Stones for playing the same songs. They are casual fans but know songs like Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Mothers Little Helper and so on. I gave up trying to defend them. I am very surprised that they are doing another stadium tour like this. They are really turning off a lot of their long time followers. Me included. I will pass this time with these stadium shows.

buy the cheap seats and move up to the front during the show
its not that hardi've done it for every show.
Just before Miss You is the best time to go. People are going crazy and you can find a way to get up there. I always have anyway

Oh the days... Just made shure you was early enough at the place were they sold the tickets,so the fans were the first to get them. (pre goldmember, on stage box tickets, package deals, presales, member codes and what have you)

EUROPE was too much. Shows are far from beeing sold out. Much shows have been cancelled due to bad ticket sells (not because of Keith!).

So it's good that at least some fans in the States see it the same way!

The big issue is that they can't deliver what they ask the money for!

I love this band too, but I am with HoundDog in that I will pass. In fact, I passed on the first time around. It IS harder to defend them now. It is just too expensive for many of the same songs I caught during the Licks tour and frankly, I'm tired of the Chuck Leavell/Bernard Fowler/ Lisa Fischer/Blondie Chaplin/horn section entourage that has taken over the band.

Bring back the dueling/weaving guitars up front and give me Ian McLagan on piano and Bobby Keys alone on sax without all the extras. I really thought they'd drop the second-tier band after the Steel Wheels tour but sadly, they have been retained.

I TRULY HOPE THIS BECOMES A THEME, AND THE BAND IS SENT A LOUD AND CLEAR
MESSAGE.

IT PAINS ME TO IMAGINE I WILL NOT BE GOING, BUT I AM NOT.

TIME FOR THE BOYS TO GET THEIR TICKET COSTS IN LINE WITH THE REAL WORLD,
AND THE REAL FANS!

Thanks for the lack of flames on my post. You've all been quite gracious in
your responses...which reflects a good forum for all of us fans to post our
feelings and thoughts on such matters.

Peace All,
Rich

i agree with rkruth....why cancel so called sold out shows in europe and then play stadiums thats not sold out..i think the stones camp knew that tickets were not selling early in the year ..so the keef incident was a good excuse to cancel theses show...thats why we have this fall tour, to make up for the loss of earning in europe...if they had not been so greedy and got the price of tickets right, then things might of been different.Mabe the best way forward is, if the stones knock the touring on the head. And then we can have our pay checks paid into the stones bank accounts each month ...lol jagger would go for this, it would save a lot of hassle. So its going to be very interesting to see how theses fall tickets sell.

How much is too much? Good question, I'm going back and forth trying to figure out my own personal version of the answer to that one. At first I said I wasn't going to go to any more shows until and unless they change the setlist, then the tour dates were announced and I got excited and decided to go, now I'm leaning more toward my original plan. I may change my mind again six times before tomorrow.

If they play my hometown as rumoured I'm there no matter what, but at the moment it's looking like same old setlist + travel costs = me spending my money on something else this time around. For what it costs to go to a show these days I could hire a kickass Stones cover band and have them play whatever I want. After seeing the Stones multiple times I'm kind of over the thrill of seeing them in person, now I just want to hear some different Stones material played live.

Hey Rich, did you try the code "GSTRS" that barbequebob posted yesterday. It seemed to be working last night for me, although I didn't end up buying any, just checking it out.

Just go into the Amex ticket sales, and when you go to pick the type of tickets you want, you need to enter this in the Season Ticket holders section.

I also pulled up A4 row 22 for Foxboro but did not buy because for $350+fees I think 22 rows back is terrible! In a stadium, that's WAY BACK! Lots of heads to look over! I will buy ten rows back or less, that's it.

I agree $400 for 22 rows back is just too much. I won't pay it. The only exception is for an arena.

If you are a fan enough to be on this board, then for chrissakes if they come to your town, just spend the $90-160.

Just got this email from my brother in New York...her read my review of the Cologne show...and your posts on this 'new fall tour' in the USA...and he's seen the Stones on every tour for the last 25 years...but he's also had it...read on..

"@#$%& this avaricious, virtual corporation, mega-global tour, greatest hits
re-tread fandango the stones continue to revel in, when are these
self-celebrationists going to get relevant, viable and adventurous again?
Hundreds of dollars for tickets to see *this* shit yet again? No @#$%&
chance, I'd rather watch 'gimme shelter' or listen to "garden state '78" for the
next 50 years thank you. Their mega-tour phase was great for a while. Time to
get off the formula though.

To wit - did you know that mick jagger recently cut an entire album of nothing
but languid, dark, r&b material that inexplicably and bafflingly, he has decided
to shelve? The only reason I know this is because I read an interview with smoky
hormel (of beck fame) in which he divulged that he had worked extensively on the
album. I'm speechless. "

And on Ronnie Wood he writes..."Woody did some marvelous things with r.stewart in the early '70's, but he's been largely a liability, or at best, a nuetral/serviceable appendage (with the exception of
some slide guitar work) since the late 1970's. The loss of mick taylor, and the
missed opportunity of picking up someone like harvey mandel or ry cooder is
something the stones haven't recovered from, save for "some girls"/"tattoo
you"/"steel wheels", (which are populated by a lot of pre-woody work) in my
opinion.

Want to know what I think? Get rid of him. Enough. The stones need a new
artistic direction (and have since 1990) and woody, by definition (apparent in
his behavior and performance), is little more than an increasingly threadbare
nostalgist." I couldn't agree more on all counts...and I'll be seeing the Stones in Stuttgart and London...but the USA shows...forget it unless there's finally a real lead guitarist and a new concept for the show...

Diamond rings, Vaseline, you gave me disease, well, I lost a lot of love over you.

myself? LOL. actually I can think of plenty of ways to spend my money. you can speak for yourself, however - but not for me.

Nonsense. As much as I still enjoy the shows, the emotional blackmail shit doesnt fly with me. Its to their credit that the Stones have never used the "this could be the last time" schtick, so hearing it from some of their fans as an excuse to be fleeced by them carries no weight whatsoever.

Gazza..its not the question who is using "it"...the point is they are old and more sooner than later they will have to stop it.

I'm quite aware of that and have come to terms with it being a reality. Have you? Your post would suggest you havent, which is something for you to deal with - not insist on others paying through the nose to do the same

Still no excuse for fleecing people. If the Stones dont use their age and mortality as an excuse, I dont see why YOU should feel the need to justify it or make absurd excuses for someone else being a "prima donna". As blind hero worship isnt my thing personally, I dont feel the need to indulge anyone based on that trait.

ROLLING RIP OFF!

Don't buy...get the prices back to where they should be.
Set a precedent folks...We will not take this! How many tours
are we going to let them gouge your wallets and take your
hard earned money. Again, I'm given out, and can no longer
justify Rolling Stones ticket prices. There are huge problems in the RIAA and music business these days...it is at a huge TURNING POINT.
Do not feed this machine in this manner...the consequences and
trend-setting being created needs to be stopped.

Again, would love to go...but prices do not justify this band anymore.
NO BAND should be charging this.
Give us a dozen major cities or so, with a 4 or 5 nite run at each in a
THEATER setting. Many bands do it, and are successful.

A true nod to the fans, who got them where they are today, would be to tear down the giant spectacle/prouction and do small theatre runs, and charge US no more than $100 for top ticket.

Come on Stones, you've done it all. Time to be kind! I am not paying for gas for your fleet of trucks anymore!
