Great news! That answers our questions about when we'll know the fall tour dates.

so PRESUMPTUOUS to think it's about a fall tour - it could be something along the lines that they've located the offending Fiji coconut tree and hacked it apart so it can't mess up any more rock'nroll tours.....

It would be so Keith Richards to use the wood of the offending tree to build a wicked guitar....

Hey now people, let's not smoke our joints before they are rolled, OK? As the redoubtable StonesTod has pointed out, the announcement could be about the coconut tree.

Yeah this rio gig really bumps up the 'total number of people played to' on this tour, when in fact when you take away the 1.2m or whatever, then im sure we're talkin the same or less than licks, btb, and definitely less than voodoo.

Whatever, size isnt everything. Heehee...

Re: Announcement from the Rolling Stones

Good to see that I'm not alone on that.Perhaps the early announcement will be the tour dates and the late announcement will be "By the way,we'll be on cruise control".

"The return to North America is a celebration of the fact that the most enduring rock n' roll band of all time is feeling and sounding better than ever before and are ready to rock," said Michael Cohl, tour promoter. "The response from fans and reviewers to the recent shows in Europe has been amazing. To give more fans an opportunity to see the band we're lowering the ticket prices on average 10-15% and taking an additional off tickets for students." (rs.com)

Well well, student discount and lower prices. That's pretty novel. But I suppose they want to fill up their large gigs this time.
