Italy dominated the first half. France the second half and the extra time. I thought that France would be exhausted . It was the reverse. Italy was lucky, but well done.Not a great match all in all. Curious to know what this italian told Zidane. Maybe the first will be in jail after tomorrow !!!!

I am Italian, born and raised in italy, and been living on my own since I was 18, and I am a World Champion and you're NOT!

How can it be an insult if it's true Dunhill? This is a FACT: Italian men live at their parents home to a later age then any other European men(if you moved out early then it's not about you anyway so you should not feel insulted). My Girl Friend is a 100% Italian, her father comes from Santa Bartalemao (Spelling?) which is East of Napoli/West of Bari. You want to talk to Him? he'll tell you the same thing (and he can tell it to you in perfect Italian). You know it's true, if you don't you're in denial. How can the truth insult you? I still like Italy a lot and visit all the time but I'm just stating a fact. I have male friends in Italy and I can't respect this aspect of their lifestyle...but no big deal, they're still nice guys and my friends and yes. like you, some do move out early, many don't.....BTW, that was a very non exciting game and FRANCE played a better game, Italy ONLY had a good defense but weak offense. With that said, Italy deserved a win, I was in Firenze in 1990 when Italy lost (and as a host country) and it was TOO SAD so good that they got the top spot.....No hard feelings, OK?

I don't get it. Your post was insulting because you portrayed us as being lame, over protected and basically not grown men, BTW where are you from? Just curious from which ubermenschen full country you do come from.

Please do also note that Italy is country with very different traditions depending on the region, the south is more like you said, the North is way more mittle-european than you may think.

of course i'm serious! Materazzi spent the whole match provocating and insulting Zidane...not much to do with football skills. Italy has the most corrupted and racist football team in the world...not much to be proud about.

I think that penalties should be dropped from the WC final. If the two teams are drawn level then call it a tie.

I see it the same way. to make it short: At least Italy developed as the most obnoxious team in the championchip as they always tried to get any advantages outside the game itself on cost of their rivals. Why didn't they try to play clean and fair matches on their own?

In 2004 at the European Cup Italy's midfielder Francesco Totti, probably the strongest player in our team, was suspended for spitting on Denmark's Poulsen.
He missed 4 games, if we ever got to play 4 games, we were out at the first round.
What puzzles me is that the so calle dishonest Italians were the first to condemn Totti's gesture, as much as we condemned De Rossi's one in this Cup.
Still everybody says "poor Zidane, poor Zidane, he was provoked".
Totti was provoked too still the Italians you all love so much to call cheaters and dishonest, were adamant about him having to go home for what he'd done.

Well, I did protest, but the German BILD (same as the SUN in G
always has headlines like this. The booing I didn´t like either,
but

1) not everyone was bóoing
and
2) the booers were heated up by the Italian campaign to let
Frings miss a game for his slap against an Argentinian player.

I don't feel insulted when people say about French that we are into bread, cheese and wine !

I can understand that you feel insulted when people boo your anthem because in France we experienced that too many times.

I don't. He's a great defense player, he scored three very important goals during the Cup, he's too agressive, we all know it, but during the tournament he did not commit any serious fouls.
