Roland Kirk - Volunteered Slavery.

There's a great no compilation of his Atlantic material, entitled Spirits Up Above.

kirk is one of my all-time faves. lotsa material about him included in that recent keystone korner book that came out recently.

so far it's been an all-mozart morning here...going to take a dramatic turn later: an all-eclan patrick aloysius macmanus afternoon is planned...

I have just moved on to Guy Clark, and will be digging out Talk Is Cheap after that. I'd recommend The Delivery Man, as it's Costello's best ever.

there will be no delivery, man. elvis lost his golden touch after about 1986. his aim was very true up until then, though....

Try King Of America then

i just might...his last great album...from '86, same year as blood & chocolate, which was not quite up to snuff with the earlier attractions stuff.

Paul Weller - English Rose acoustic (for about the 10th time in 24 hours). That is one song I wish I had written. Thanks again Stonesnow and Swaystones. peace

That's funny - most people I know think it's Bob Dylan.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Live Communication by Bill Wyman.
There’s a great version of Harlem Shuffle and an amazing version of Johnny B Goode.

Asleep at the Wheel is coming to my neck of the woods in September, so we'll probably go see them. Their Ride with Bob album is great, even the little bloomers like it.
