conspiracy

the only thing ,which consoles me, is
the thing that juve and miland and other
clubs will descending in the 2. or the 3. league

don´t take my comment too seriously

the only thing i hope ,is that we germans will show us as good loosers, and no raids or silly actions by hooligans will take place.

congrats to italy ....go france go

What is Germany like right now? There were millions of folks out. Germany was great all tournament. As much as I hate the Italian national team, they deserved it. I hope France gets in the final and boots it to them.

Italians couldn't beat the Americans with a man advantage. No way can they win it all.

wow! I have to admit I had just told people at work that I thought Germany would win easily and that Italy were just lucky and play boring negative football and had an easy draw, well I herby admit I was a fool, The Italians were brilliant and played some of the best football I have ever watched, they were magnifico!!!!!!!

Congrats Italy, I heard loads of screams and fireworks here in Argentina. We're all very happy, its JUSTICE.

I guess a lot of people here owe us some kind of apology.
Everybody saying we suck, that we are lame and so on.
We dominated the whole game, two poles, two goals.
I don't know whether we can pull it off in the final, but sure as hell we deserved to win.

FORZA AZZURRI!

Hope the critics will be silenced now. While Italy's defense is obviously the backbone of this team, I don't recall any team during this World Cup that started a tied overtime period with four forwards. Certainly not England nor Germany nor Portugal nor any of the other supposedly more spectacular teams. This team plays everyone tough and has demonstrated a will to win each and every game, rather than rely on penalty shootouts. Italy's greatest strengths are its toughness and its poise under pressure. Last time I checked, these are qualities every team aspires to have. Maybe all the bs I have read here and elsewhere were a sign of fear and envy coming from those whose national teams are known to tremble, buckle, choke and fail miserably when it really counts.

What a great game with a deserved winner. And finally a good referee who didn't interrupt the game constantly.

Bollocks, rubbish - err no wait, I only disagree!

I saw a quite boring game, good attempts of the germans in the beginning
though resistance (I)
and then 2 gorgeous goals in the overtime - well done Italy.
I had hoped for the germans, but those 2 goals where brilliant.
and that makes a clear winner of the match!
not any goofing or tacklin' in 4 sets!

congrats ITALY

poor germans we did it again to them (1970, 1982, 2006)
very tough game but correct
i like to point out that germans were the hysterical types tonight (exspecially ballack)
both teams could have scored and win, we had the best chances
difference between the teams: tecnique of players when it comes to shoot to goal
goooooooooooooo italia! winking smiley

Very true - Ballack had some nice demonstrations of acting.

Well, I see it this way. I saw a team that wanted to win (Italy) in front of a team that seemed to want the penalty round since the beginning (Germany). So, strange as it seems, this time the team that deserved to win actually did it.

A wholly deserved victory for Italy. I was sympathetic towards the germans but still, those two goals in the end had an exhilarating effect on me: quality wins over Kampfgeist, finally!
