It was fair enough that Italy won. They were the most dangerous, especially in the extra time. Let's hope for Italy - France in the final.

Well, as a (German) football fan I must admit that
Italy has deserved to win in the end. They were more
offensive than expected and had 5 or 6 big ones before
the 2 goals.

My son (6) was crying after the match. "I´m so sad that
it´s over!" "Yes, my boy, but we had a great tournament
with our young team. So maybe next time!"

The German team was the biggest surprise. The coach was
offended by the tabloids and most of the fans a year before
the World Cup. He has my deepest sympathies for all the
decisions he has made.

I hope you all had a great time here in Germany or watching
the games.

Final will be Italy - France. France will make it. Zidane
retires with A BIGGER BANG. They threw Brazil out, so that´s
why they deserve it.

Klinsmanns absurd reactions alone were worth watching the match! Italy deserved to winn, but Germany was one of the surprises this year, I never thought they would reach the semi-finals.

Great Italy!
All the Italian workers in Germany deserve this victory so much!
My only disappointment is that we beat a team that sucks.

Couldn't agree more. Please let your son know that most of the world have loved to watch the German team at this tournament. The best in ages. For sure with the best attitude ever. Plus a terrific Klinsman ( + Löw and Bierhoff ) in charge. And please do NOT forget that Germany can still win the bronze medals.

It has been wonderful to watch the fantastic atmosphere in Germany. The slogan "Be a Guest among Friends" became reality.

Italy surprised me very much yesterday. Finally they started to play football the way they actually can. Lippi was the great master of this display.

BUT I will for sure be for France in the final ( : if they keep up the fantastic play from the matches against Spain and Brazil ). Let's hope Zidane will play another beautiful game. And that the Italians will forget their neanderthal- hollywood reactions and keep on playing the game.

Cheers - and best wishes for Germany. And your son !!!

Well, Totti as well said he will probably retire from our National Team, and Italy winning the Cup would be a way bigger bang.

Sorry about your kid, hope you can raise him to be a better sports fan than those idiots that booed our National anthem at the game last night.

While I'm enjoying Zidane's playing (after all I'm a Real Madrid supporter), I have to say that despite the fact France did beat both Spain and Brazil (which are mainly offensive-playing teams and the ones who in fact let Zidane play), Portugal is going to be hard to beat today, because it's a mainly-deffensive team like the own France and on the other hand I guess Zidane is going to recieve some hard tackles today...

Everybody in Germany is sad and down today.
I'm glad the Stones are coming to lead us through the dark.

Unfortunately, there was no Wolfgang Overath this time but Germany will be able to discover and develop potential piece in near future.
Your son will always remember 2006 national team like I can still recite all players of West Germany 1974.

Great game. The ref was "man of the match" for me.
He refereed using the laws of Association Football rather than the latest stupid and petty FIFA directives...and Look what happened !

It was a game in which either side would have been deserving winners...but I'm glad it wasn't settled by the dreaded "spot kick lottery"

Yeah, Lizard, because of the way the English see and portray us Germans I will never be pro England. When will you stop this "all Germans are Nazis" rubbish?
