Favorite live version of Sway?

Wow, at this time a year ago I would have never guessed I would ever be able to make a thread with that title.

Anyway, this song had been requested to be played live endlessly over the years by hardcore fans of the band. In 2005, 34 years after its initial release, we finally got it. Now that the band has performed a few versions of it, which one is your favorite?

For me, I'd have to say I dig the Atlanta 2006 version.

It sounded good in Tokyo. I think that it is getting better and better.

MSG 20Jan. It had been rumored they played SWAY during a sound check. I listened to it on my MP3 10 times on the ride to the show. It made a good show a Great show.

Tokyo sounded great. Atlanta is excellent as well, and the good thing for Europe is that they still have room to improve, which would involve modifying the phrasing a little, maybe re-creating the awesome "Heyyy heyyy nowwwwww..one day I woke up.." part...

Lookin good for the delayed (one week or more??) European leg.

I want a rock'n'roll concert in Göteborg.

The version in Melbourne was brilliant - Keith's guitar playing was sensational (using his replica of his specially-built 5 string guitar from the 70's), and Ronnie did a fine job of mimicking the original Mick Taylor solo. Easily one of the best moments in any of the 20 Stones gigs I've seen.

Atlanta.

Mick was trying to judge how many hard core fans were there when asking who was there the first time. I think it was about 50-50. Kudos for Chuck for taking care of his homies. There were a lot of hard core fans who used their 5/9 codes to get up from and Atlanta was no Columbus. There were many up front singing every word, going crazy, and giving the boys lots of postive feedback. Mick is funny and does a lot of looking out of the corner of his eyes, but you could see big smiles at the goings on in Atlanta. He knew it went over well in a big way.

By the way, listen to the Atlanta CD. Atlanta knows how to through a party and show their appreciation at a concert. Southern boys know how to put away the moonshine and have a good time! All other crowds including the mighty New Yorkers sound tame and lame next to Atlanta.

hate to be a party pooper, (maybe it's cuz I'm not a Southern good ole boy), but none of the live versions I've head can touch the SF version. sorry if that breaks up your mind . . .

I don't care which is the best live version so far. I only hope they keep playing the song in Europe which I doubt. But to hear this song live would be a dream come true - another dream after they made my CYHMK dream come true in 2002/03!

Atlanta by far the best....

"It's Good To Be Here, It's Good To Be Anywhere"-Keith Richards

"Halloween Is Every Night Of My Life"-Keith Richards

"I Got The Sticky Fingers, For Some Girls"

I think Fort Lauderdale is the best I've heard. Shame the crowd wasn't into it.

A bigger shame a nice boot hasn't surfaced yet!
