Hey thor, thanks for the nice reply. Yeah, I have always been a huge Leon fan. Since the 1980's I've only seen him perform in bars, once with Edgar Winter, but mostly with a small band. Check out his website for touring info (http://www.leonrussellrecords.com/)
because I am serious, he sounded better last night than he has sounded in decades...it was a rocking band, not country or laid back like some shows I've seen....not that there's anything wrong with country or laid back....but he really cooked on his rocking hits....it was kind of funny because his second song was "Rollin' In My Sweet Baby's Arms," so I thought this was going to be another country-fied show, but then he tore into "Stranger In a Strange Land," and it just kept getting better from there.
