Went to see G'n'R when they went on a treck a few years ago - clearly expecting the worst. and except for the worst guitar solo in the history of man. the show was a real winner.
all my hairy assed mates even had to admit, some even though begrudgingly, that it was a great rock show, with the new songfs played being really strong.
If memory serves they also played five new songs. even though they hadn't even released a new record. now even the Stones are doing that with a brand new album out.
By the way, most epople who have decried G'n'R over recent years since Axl left, generally:
A) weren't big fans in the first place. or
haven't seen them over recent years.
I got a feeling those that like rock music and get the chance to see them over the summer will generally be impressed: see this years Donnington festival - lots of new Guns fans will be leaving that place after the weekend!!
