wild horses is arguably the best ballad the boys ever did. i know serious music people who don't necessarily love the Stones who marvel at the majesty of this song.

Angie is the monster hit. I love it.
WH is a genius soing; but no studio recording I've heard by the Stones capture it in a way that makes it justice.
Gram's version is the ultimate imho.
There are one of two live versions of WH I've heard or collected
from ABB tour that may top Angie though, still imho.

I'm always rejoicin' while seeing they performed Angie;
is raises the odds for me to hear/see it at Ullevi, Göteborg;
and its nostalgy from glam era for me.
I am too young for the 'ippie era.

Two great songs, but Wild Horses is one of my favourites.

If Angie wouldn't have been the mega hit it was, meaning it's been overplayed at lousy FM stations and nostalgia radio programs, I bet many people here would have voted for Angie. Or maybe being latin helps to appreciate the song?.

Anyway, I vote for Wild Horses. But it's not by a mile but a very thin difference!

Angie is not bad, nice music, signing... but it's SO sweet, it's kinda on the border of what we could accept from the Stones. I like it, but it's far from my most favourite. It's a pity many people consider it the best Stones ballad ( they might know no other).

Wild Horses might indeed be the best ballad ever. Sure it's hard to say... it might not seem that breathtaking, there's no climax like in Moonlight Mile or something, but it's so deep, the lyrics are pure poetry. The mood of this song somehow makes it a ballad in a class of its own.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I know, I'm a fag. But think about it. It has some cool chord progressions, a REALLY nice piano.

Wild Horses is kind of boring.. it's such a whiny song, wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiild wiiiiiiiiiiiild horseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees couldn't drag me awayyyyyy. But I like it allot too. But Angie just gets the edge.
