Hopefully the link will work, if not i will try to figure something else out.

I just have a snippit of the song, so it's not the whole thing, but tell em what you think.

BTW, it is just on my acoustic.

Thanks.

It sounds great! But you shouldn't fall back on the Add9 chord to make a beat like that, it sounds too tight. Keith playes it allot more relaxed. But it's great.

Great, I wish Keith would work as much on that song as you do!

I think the problem with some Stones song live, and other bands, they rely too much on the supporting cast to carry the burden of the song, until it's solo time.

I plan on posting more videos on myspace of various songs song. I am thinking "Wild Horses" or "Honky Tonk Women" may be next.

BTW, if anyone has myspace out there, feel more than welcomed to add me, I think Stones fan will love my backdrop.

It's got everything but the swing. You gotta start feeling those dotted eight notes.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah like I said, it's really tight, but it doesn't swing. Try playing it relaxed and using the open chords more like Keith.

What do you think helps him more!! "That's great!!" Or if I say he's good but with some points he could work on?! Helloo.. we're not trying to insult him or something.. we're HELPING him. His playing is great, but he should loosen up. He's tighter then a g-string.

The video is a perfect example of what makes keith KEITH!

Lots of folks (and I mean no disrespect by this) can play the notes and chords...

but Keith makes it Tumblin Dice.

And when he plays it, you know it's him, and you know it's the Stones.

Nice effort, but a bit too fast and forced. But that's I would be too when I know I'm recording. Try standing up and maybe use an electric guitar, you will have more room for your hands to play the chords high up the neck.

Thanks agian.

really...

and hope that you can appreciate that these deep fans and players probably dig the warmth and smoothness of what you're doin'...nice warm sound and approach and technique... or they wouldn't chime in with anything other than, well, you know, people are pretty, uh, plain spoken heeyah...
sometimes without even asking for a rating...lol...
just THAT took juevos...

good job; instant karma with the click to you live too...
kewl ty. rich messages with your sounds.

That's open G for sure, Beelyboy.

Reptile nailed it in his posts, I absolutely agree.

Even Keith can strech it from bum to brilliance.

It's either to tight or it's to slack.

Keep it up, pal.

Yeah, it's in open G, of course, is there anything else, lol. I switch up quite often from open G to standard. I have figured out that there is only one way to play "wild Horses" IMO, and that is open G.

Again, I appreciate all the thanks, and even teh criticism, it will only to serve to make my playing better.

Well, WH has some funky chords in open g. If you have the video to WH from Stripped where they are playing in the studio that will help greatly.

THe basic chords to the song are G Am for the intro

THe verse, Bm, G, where he starts to sing,"the the tings you wanted..." it goes to an Am and walks to a C, then D to G.

The Chorus almost follows the same pattern - Am, C, D, G, F, C.

The solo part I believe goes liek this C, with add 9 chords for the changes.

Here are the chords I use...Open G of course, 5 string,

XGDDBG

G - X00035
Am -X22010

Bm -X44035
C -X55555
D -X77777
F -barred on the 10th fret

The key with this is slow groove and to give time for the phrasing because its not a simple as you would think. It really sounds sweet on a 12 string tuned to open g.

Hopefully this will help some of yall out there. IF you play around long enough you will be able to throw some cool runs in like Keef does. You should be able to hgear how everything should go.

Much Luck
Joey

I play it slightly different, I leave the sith string on but don't pick it.

note the C - F is the typical Keith hammer on
