They rehearsed the Ray Charles song Lonely Avenue. I'd love to hear that one, although it's a long shot. Lately Night Time has been missing from the setlist as well.
Glad it got thru, Elmo. I'll send ya more stuff soon, just wanted to hit ya with that rhythm stick before the 8th, as they entered Atlanta then. Well, there may still be time to get there... :0D See ya!
They could do a Ray number that's appropriate for most of the fans...BUSTED !
"MY WIFE AND MY KIDS ARE ALL DOWN WITH THE FLU I was just thinking of a ticket or two,but I'm busted No bread,I mean like nothin' ".........................................etc.!
Heard them do "Night Time Is The Right Time" twice live on this current tour (and on some of the boots) - and although it was a great performance I too would like to hear the Stones do some other Ray Charles songs....
my problem with some of their choices in cover material on recent tours is the "obviousness" of them. BAd enough they do so many of their own warhorses - why do they need to do other people's warhorses?
Night Time Rock Me Baby Like a Rolling Stone Get Up Stand Up
Mr. Pitiful was a relatively decent choice - certainly not an unknown Otis tune, but at least it's no "Respect" or "Dock of the Bay."
