They played in 1997 as one of the Web picks. Its too bad this song is rarely performed. There are a long list of songs from the 60s that fall into this same category..

Check out the bootleg, Got Web Pix If You Want Them. Its a great 3 disc set with all the rarities (or Web pix) from that tour. Time is On My Side is included on that as well.

Agreed, Keith and the Winos killed with their version. T<he final "You'll come running back" parts alone are enough to give me goosebumps. But the Stones did what they do so often with their covers: they made it their own song.
On the two early official versions the one that is more rare; the one with the Organ intro has the worst BU vox. Hilarious that they actually released that cacophony. Now that is another reason to love the Stones. Keith, Bill and Brian singing their heart out trying to keepo up with those melodic Beatles but coming off like alleycats yowling at the moon.

Yeah, the light up the town part is great, especially in the 81 versions, where Keith puts some blues licks over it.
