----------------------------------------------------- Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul I wanna get lost in your rock and roll and drift away
The bond thing is very pre-rock and roll, a kind of lounge lizard, rat pack schtick. I don't think it has anything to do with the stones. Not to mention most of the films after the first couple are dreadfully boring... much too long and silly.
Travelling all over the world, screwing fine babes, driving cool cars, and destroying expensive stuff. Sounds like rock and roll to me. Besides, without Bond, there would be no Austin Powers.

I don't know, there are alot of similarities between Bond and the Stones:
1) Both are English 2) Both get more than their share of pussy (both of the galore and the octo variety) 3) Both like to drink on the job (shaken, not stirred) 4) Both have lots of cool gadgets (Bond has exploding pens and flamethrowers in his car, the Stones have moving stages and a giant blowup penis) 5) Many people feel that both peaked in the '60s 6) Bond saved a vault full of gold, the Stones own vaults full of gold
Love Bond. Always and forever. The wit and cool and amorality (especially as found in Fleming) has everything to do with the Stones' quintessentially English approach to American musics.
Most Underrated: "Octopussy"
Best Roger Moore: "The Spy Who Loved Me"
Best Story (by far): "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
The Spy who loved me - (I love the white pod at the end) You Only Live Twice Octopussy For Your Eyes Only GoldenEye
Worst Bond movies: Diamonds are Forever View to a Kill Moonraker Both Timothy Dalton ones (Bond is supposed to be irresistable) The one with Denise Richards & the guy from Trainspotting
My grandmother died this week, so I haven't had Stones on myymind this week (at least not that much). She was a cool old lady. I think she would've cracked Keith up. RIP Nana!
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Thanks man!
I haven't had a chance to catch up on my reading, have I missed any new drama? or are things good again?
WNY Stones - I always thought that the first Planet of the Apes had a James Bond feel as well, I thought I was the only one. Charlton Heston was a hunk. The Omega Man was a classic, the original 28 Days Later (not really a remake, but similar).
