Good observation! IMO, this is the big difference between Mick and Keef. I really wonder how the band would have sounded if Mick was the band leader. I mean Keef certainly has his limitations (technical) as a guitar player, but it's also a matter of taste. We know Richards can pull it off like on Heartbreaker from Brussels '73 or Midnight Rambler. For some reason Keef wants to keep things very simple, sometimes for the better, and others not. That's why they didn't play Sway before now.

The rhytm part of this song is probably a challenge both for Keef and Charlie, but of course they will make it work. It's getting better every show. I think doing songs like Sway will make the band play better in general. They need to challenge themselves and continuing what they started in '69, - a time when they wanted to be not just the biggest, most selling, but the greatest! I'm not trying to say that the Stones isn't great
but I mean they still have potential. It would be cool if they worked a litle more as musicians and a litle less as actors. Of course the Stones is about putting on a big show, but I also think most people comes for the music...
I hope Jagger get more of his blues & jazz, - the band needs it!
