So what? Great show and if it works in Mexico City it sure works great in Monterrey as well. No worries.

Look, isn't it time to get over it??? That's the Rolling Stones ABB act, and that's it! Do you suddenly expect them to change it all around???

I expect Keith Richards to fall asleep on stage during YCAGWYW.

I see desk people being bored from reading set lists at home. The show was on fire in Monterrey and Keith was absolutely great for all 20 songs. They had a technical problem that delayed the show into one of the latest start times ever but the crowd was fantastic and all band members were in top form.

This is more unusual than most people would realize. I think you have to go all the way back to the 1989-1990 tour before you will find two shows in a tour that have identical set lists in the exact order. I do not think the Stones exactly repeated any set list during any tour 1994-2006 until the two Mexico shows.

We can't all afford to travel with the band!

Yeah, it's a nice set list. But if I have the same setlist two shows in a row in London or Tokyo, I'll be pretty disappointed. This is the setlist that they can play in their sleep -- no rehearsals necessary.

It's the VLT - the Victory Lap Tour - not to be confused with the prior VLT (Voodoo Lounge Tour). There will be no surprises. Don't be surprised if you are not surprised.

The victory lap is supposed to be the last lap. They better not try to pull this again in three or four years unless they re-think their approach.

actually, it's already their second lap, as many think Licks was Lap#1...there apparently are no published rules for how many victory laps a band can take.

Honestly, I think that playing twice the same show in a same country (even more in the same city) is a bit "unfair" for the fans who get tickets for 2 shows or travel to see more shows. I am not a big set list complainer, but a rotation of at least 3 or 4 songs every show would be something the Stones could do, plus a few other changes from time to time

That means having 2 determined setlists played one after another
The regular concert attender wouldn't even notice, and for the hardcore fans it'd make some variation, if not surprises.

To be honest, I was expecting for both concerts in Mexico the same kind of changes than between both Buenos Aires shows.

I am looking forward to discovering the setlists we'll have in Europe

Just wait until they are in Europe. It will be like this every night. No surprises. I would be so pissed if I bought tickets to both shows and got that. Their lack of creativity for putting a set list together makes me sad as a long time fan.

If you complain about the setlists it's the first sign of the fact that you're either bored with your life or simply too old too rock'n'roll.

Unless you were at both shows I see no reason for bitching. I highly doubt many people were at both shows since monteray and Mexico city are not super close to each other.

Rank, no, its called being bored with a band that has hundred of greats songs but will only play the same 20 or 30 every tour.

Being happy with them playing the same songs all the time means you are easily satisfied or don't wish to see your favorite band take a few chances or be proud of some news songs they wrote.

Absolutely correct. If you don't like the setlist simply stay home and watch TV. The same boring people post the same boring stuff day after day.

Whining isn't going to change it. Why anyone thinks their whining is of interest to others is beyond me.

What's the second sign?

The number of victory laps concerning "yes! Satisfaction is No 1 in the US" is approx. 2841. And growing. Must be exciting to play. Anyway, it's exciting to listen.

Being logged on to iorr.org Tell Me for hours upon hours, day after day...

God, I love being bored with my life and being too old to rock and roll.

Well the Stones seem to have looked at message boards or have listened to what fans have said before. So who says voicing an opinion will not make a difference.
