Would ya all please stop this senseless habit of always using/abusing the "Quote this message" function?

Thank you.

T&A, ofcourse you do what you want. I was only preparing you for an answer from the Princess. I didn't mean to push you around.

They all warned me about you. Said you'd rub me raw and that you were a real @#$%& and then they all edited their posts!!! I'm not afraid of you! I'm tired of walking on my tippy toes in an attempt not to disrupt the natural pecking order around here. Normally, that statement would apply to women, but they've all been pretty nice to me after I persevered and was nice and polite. It's the men around here who have given me the most shit! Why is it so hard to believe that I TOTALLY DIG GREAT *&^%$#% music and have spent about the last 4 years of my life finding what really moves me?!?!?!?! SO KISS MY BEAUTIFUL T&A and all the rest of you doubting Thomases! And I mean that in the nicest way of course! smiling smiley

This certainly could be a 21 year-old girl. When I was 21 (although, I wasn't a girl at any point) I listened to most of the same stuff I listen to now.

Some people evolve beyond the radio/their peers' tastes earlier than others.
These are the searchers who need that divine fix that only the most sacred music can provide.

Also, I forgot to put the pre-Stax Staple Singers on my list (a horrible omission).

I can take it you guys, so WHATEVER man! I get it, y'all wish you knew girls like me with my taste in music and appreciation for great rock n roll! Would it make y'all feel better if I said I liked Usher, 50 cents, SnoopDog, Cypress Hill (which I really do like), Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkston or whatever, Jessica Simpson, Enrique Eglesias, JBLO? GOOD LORD!!! GAG ME TOTALLY! I can't help it that I was given the brains and a good education to help me spell correctly, speak and write correctly-at least most of the time, and to develop a fine appreciation of what I consider to be good music. You old *&^%$& don't have the corner on the market of good music you know? You are punishing me for trying to communicate with you on your level, for my desire to be understood and heard by people I am looking to enlighten me, show me the way so to speak. We're really not that old. But, if us old @#$%& don't have this cornered, then we have nothing left to live for...please understand. Please turn out to be a 48-year-old man. Is that too much to ask?

Dear T&A (and Potted Shrimp),

That (T&A0 is my favorite Keith song, BTW. I didn't really mean old #$^%&*$. I just felt a little cornered and have taken some beatings around here. You are all very hard on the new kid. I apologize if I offended you with insinuating that any of you are old. I don't think my parents are old and they are in their early/mid forties. I just feel like I kinda yelled at my parents. Weird. My bad. Please forgive me. Can we all please be friends now?

And yes T&A, I probably am your type. Although, Dr. Bryant has already put me on his list as back up for Tokyo. smiling smiley

I was exercising my privacy options. I guess I'm into round two of the beatings and I thought you and me were okay. Has anyone else had to go through such grueling initiation? I could dumb it down and go for the hair twirling idiocy if it makes you more comfortable.

I was exercising my privacy options. I guess I'm into round two of the beatings and I thought you and me were okay. Has anyone else had to go through such grueling initiation? I could dumb it down and go for the hair twirling idiocy if it makes you more comfortable.

Really, I'm not kidding, I must say that I haven't listened to all of the albums of the bands I mentioned, that will take years, I haven't even listened to a lot of the Stones albums, but I'm getting to it.

Did I ever mention I'm a big Allman Brothers fan?!?!?!?!?

Oh, and I've been listening to a lot of Ryan Adams lately to. I've been digging back to his Whiskeytown days and have about ten live shows and DVDs I've been listening to / watching. I think my next big thing may be the White Stripes, but we'll see.

Turboneger or Turbonegro was found in 1988 and the have a funny history. The reason why they look that way is because they were throwing out of a radical concertplace because they look to normal. Then the idea of how to look came up. They decided to be a punkmetalfaggotband and then suddenly they could play everywhere. After the broke up because of vocalist Hank von Helvete abuseproblems with heroin. I think that was in 1996 or 97.
But the myth and mystic around the band began to grown and they began to be big in the undergroundworld of music and when they restart for a few years ago they sold much records than they ever done and everywhere they played it was sold out.
By the way, Motorpsycho was warm-up act for Turbonegro in 1989.

electric-duane,

my first concert was ABB in Macon with Wet Willie in 1975. No Duane or Berry, but Dickie really took the show that night. Gregg seemed coked-up, but was in decent voice. Leavell on piano - Jessica rocked.

Recently visited the graves of DA and BO. Spoke for about an hour with Berry's sister. Nice visit with her. Really knows her history.
