Try to count away all DVDs, boots of ANY kind and solo stuff. How many Cds with the Stones do you have (I'm talking all editions, singles, and also if you have the same CD twice). I was in shock to find out that I only have 80.........

I remember getting my number 200 original CD, many years ago. I had a celebration about it. I have about 300 original Stones CD/LP/DVD now (not counting CD-R). Kent, I'm also born in 1981, you ought to be deeply, deeply ashamed of your low money-spending on Stones!

Somewhere around 500. Used to have a lot more. Had to start over. What is weird is that I listen to all of them fairly regularly.

I counted them once for a television show. I had about 2,000. That's five years ago, so I would say around 2,500. All official stuff & Boots (no cdr's). It's a disease.............

isnt he just asking about official releases? how can you have hundreds of official Stones albums on CD??

I dont collect multiple pressings or reissues, so I'd guess that I have one of pretty much everything on vinyl up to 1988 after which I went to CD. I suppose Ive most stuff at least twice

Dont buy or collect bootleg CDs or LPs either. In all honesty, the number of factory pressed Stones bootleg CDs I own could be counted on two hands

Tapes and CDRs are another matter. I think the Stones tape list was up to about 1,700 before I moved on to CDR in 1998-99. I suppose by now the number of CDRs would be something similar.

Stones on video tape, I'd have about 800 hours worth although in the last 3-4 years anything new Ive got would be on DVD..still building that side of the collection up

1,100 cassettes, the official catalogue: Decca/London 3 complete CD sets, CBS/Virgin 2 complete sets, then all official vinyl releases, promos and my brian just melted ....

Add another 4 DVDs and a 2CD (Philly 05) to the list.

I have to be a serious contender for having the smallest collection of Stones CDs on this entire board.

Trade list is 52 pages with about 50 per page. It's a start.

60 cds I think it is, plus some vynils from the old days - and 23 dvds.

I certainly would have hundreds if you were nice enough to include vinyl (US, UK, a Dutch "Some Girls", a few Japanese pressings - Emotional Rescue, Tattoo & IORR are all way better than UK/US pressings - plus I've picked up some sealed pressings w/ original stickers etc which are duplicates (quarduplicates?), and except Flashpoint (bleh), Live Licks, & 40 Licks, the rest thru ABB is on vinyl - oh, and the Mobile Fidelity box. As for CDs I bought those crappy Sony editions of the "Atlantic" stuff 15 years ago, then the Virgin remasters, a couple Japanese editions w/ bonus tracks, and then of course I had those crappy '86 Abkco cds until they were finally upgraded in 2002...hmmm...Most solo stuff: Jagger's albums (plus "Performance" - but not "Ruthless People"), Brian's great Joujouka lp, Keith's (inc. "Aranbee Pop Symphony" and Wingless Angels), all of Ron's and Charlie's, most of Bill's and Mick T's....Howlin Wolf's London session (Stones, Hubert, Clapton - what a lineup)...Then (not even mentioning boots) what might be seen as grey area stuff, like "Ready To Wear" & "Hope Floats" soundtracks, Dick & Dee, B.B. King, Marianne Faithfull's '94 comp, Bobby Womack's album on Wood's Slide label, Chieftains' Long Black Veil (all have at at least one collaboration w/ the Stones), Oldham's collection on See For Miles w/ a few early oddball RS b-sides ('Funky & Fleopatra'?)...Do we count stuff w/ 1 or 2 Stones guesting on a cut or three? I couldn't possibly guess how many of those I have unless I went thru my whole collection (you know, Jimmy Rodgers, Bo Diddley, Ivan Neville, Bootsy, Chuck's "Hail Hail", etc, etc)...UrbanSteel did you count just for this thread or already know exactly what you have? I'm getting a headache already...And damn, those DVDs and decrepit old videos!!!

Aha, I have the Flashpoint vinyl !

Also this 5 track Flashpoint CD promo which I paid £50 for about 5 years ago, saw a copy for £250 last month. I should sell it all and buy an island in the pacific some where.

dunno bout cd's, that's from the past. I do hava all the official cd's, but never use them.

2164 Rolling Stones songs on MP3 where I eliminated doubles as much as I could.
