I loved that cover, and I dreamed about hearing it in Madrid, loud, loud, loud...

They played it in Montreal.
Since they have already visited Boston, NY and Chicago earlier on the tour, they play other songs that weren't played in those cities in 2005.
I'm sure Night Time will be played again.

I don't believe they played NIGHTIME in Montreal or Boston in 2006. They played it at Fenway not the Banknorth Arena this past Jan.13 ! I know because I was not happy...not Gimme Shelter or Nightime!

Sorry, I was wrong! They DID play it in Montreal but not Boston.

since it was really the only song performed regularly that would fit the definition of a "blues" I miss it....but, in all honesty, it was an relatively un-interesting interpretation....Fogerty, among others I could cite, performed it with more gusto, IMO.

It was Ok not great. I am glad they dropped it. I would rather hear one of their own numbers than this one. They also tried Get Up, Stand up but must have felt they were not doing it justice. I saw them do it in Hartford and it was pretty rough. Right Time was a good time for a bathroom break so that you could get back to hear Keith.

Some want changes all the time.
And others say "why no more night time".
So it is easy to understand why people complain so much.

We want it all! More more more!

Well, Mick used to say earlier in the tour that it was sort of a Ray Charles, who died some months before Fenway. So maybe they'll give Mustang Sally a try now Wilson Pickett has gone on his neverending tour?

Bathroom break?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Night time is the right time is one of the best soul song ever written! I mean Aretha did it! And the Stones version is a killer, i almost died when i heard it.

We can definitely disagree about how great the Stones rendition of this song was... For my taste it's one of the greatest things they ever did...

BUT... it is a cover and they usually don't drag these covers forever into their tour... remember:

1) The "Miss You Jerry" dedication to Jerry Garcia on the B2B tour... they only did that at Chicago and a few other places if I recall correctly during "Miss You", then they dropped it...

2) Love Train... they played it for a few stadium gigs on Licks, right ? I don't think they played it throughout the tour.

Love Train was played at selected arenas, stadiums and theaters on Licks shows at least through most of the first US leg. I understand your point, though. I think they came up with this sorta gimmick at the beginning of the tour where they'd have this "tribute" slot that would rotate songs like Night Time, Pitiful, ATPTB, Get Up Stand Up, etc....but the whole thing has sort of petered out...predictably. Doing a cover shouldn't have to be a gimmick, frankly. They've been doing covers regularly for 44 years. As late as the '70 tour they were doing 3 Berry covers alone at each show.
