Not really comparable, is it?

I'm not really sure there is a real piano on Dancing In The Starlight, either.

Or did you have another song in mind that I forgot?

I was tossing and a-turning
Like a ship out in a storm
And I could not feel the spirit
There was nothing there at all

And I could not dial the number
And I could not make the call

Dancing in the starlight
Dancing in the strangest forms
And I could not feel the spirit
Was a thousand miles off course

Stumbling in the twilight
There was no one there at all
I was groping in the darkness
Seeing dangers in the port

Yeah, tortured into silence
My back against the wall

Dancing in the starlight
Swirling in the walls
Just like Venus on the ocean
The figures on the wall

Yeah...

If you don't take risks, if you don't take a chance
You're bound to fall - oh yeah, sugar

You will surely fall

Crying for salvation
There was nothing there at all
I could not dial the number
And I could not make the call

Dancing in the starlight
The figures on the wall

Dancing in the starlight
Oh come on, baby
Surely fall, oh yeah...
Dancing in the starlight
Come on and...

Matt is a very close friend of Mick, that's for sure.
You can see this on the above pictures and I saw Matt several times go out with Mick during the last tour... They went twice for dinner in Brussels, same in Stockholm. Who visited the ABBA museum? Matt and Mick.
I'm sure they discussed the possibilities of a museum!

It's nice to see Mick and Keith onstage, joking around BUT woudn't it be nice that the Glimmer Twins sat around a table with Matt as musical producer to start recording new stuff? Or just playing old country and blues stuff that end up as a new record? 15 old classics with a Rolling Stones sauce?

Hey, let's get real here! Chuck plays a lot of piano with the Stones, albeit not a real grand piano.

He also plays hammond organ, wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes, something imo he does brilliantly.

Matt Clifford only plays Fender Rhodes, keyboards and synthesisers with Mick and the Stones.

He also played a very nice harpsichord on "Angel In My Heart". Not sure what the argument is about here, obviously he knows how to play the piano, it's just that there hasn't been a lot of "real" piano in Stones tracks recently...Actually isn't there a scene in "Being Mick" at "La Fourchette" where Mick is strumming his guitar and Matt is playing a grand piano?

@erikjjf - where did you read that he'd written the Python sketch?

He mentioned it when a friend and I met him in Stockholm last week.

Cool, nice that you were able to chat with him. If I'm ever that lucky I'll ask him what happened with the recording of "Wandering Spirit", two versions nixed by Ahmet Ertegun, his involvement on "Angel In My Heart" in the end although he developed "Don't Tear Me Up" with Mick (article in Vanity Fair in 04/92), etc...

He did indeed. But it is hard to tell if he is a better PIANIST than Chuck (which was claimed here ) by that.

He seems to be like a personal asistant to Mick.
He is everywhere with him. Like a Jane Rose
