MICK IS A PERFORMER, NOT A MUSICIAN
Posted by: ferrante9 ()

MICK IS A GREAT PERFORMER. IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS MICHEAL JACKSON, RICKY MARTIN, MADONNA, ROBBIE WILLIAM

BUT HE IS NO MUSICIAN. HE CAN'T PLAY ANY INSTRUMENT AT A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL.

HE IS PROBABLY THE BEST PERFORMER OUT OF ALL THE NAMES I MENTIONED ABOVE.....HOWEVER, AS A MUSICIAN, HE SUCKS!.

I LOVE MICK, BUT LET'S FACE IT..HE IS NO MUSICIAN.

AND IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, HE IS NO DANCER EITHER, BUT HE DANCES FUNNY, SO THAT'S WHY PEOPLE LIKE IT.

I THINK RINGO STARR WOULD BE A BETTER MUSICIAN THAN MICK.

SO...MACCA IS A TRUE MUSICIAN.

Mick is a musican but he seems ashamed of it and he's the greatest, yes the greatest performer fo all time. Macca is not a performer at all. He is a musician. Mick is also a great songwriter, one of the greatest in rock. Macca is a good songwriter but not a great rockwriter. OK, one of the great but not greatest. Mick is better.

When someone is a great song-writer, he's a great musician. And MJ wrote dozens of brilliant songs (by himself- and with the riffmaster of course).
You could say he's not the best singer, there are a lot better singers on this planet than MJ, but that's a matter of taste I think.
And I don't think the fans give a damn about how he dances. He's the BEST frontman on this planet, he doesn't have to be the best dancer.
In my opinion there aren't many frontmen who invest so much time in being a good frontman like he is!!

Please if you just post such threads just to piss people off on this board. Don't waste your energy!!!!!!!!!
There aren't many fans on this board who share yoúr Beatles-minded opinions!!!

On the other hand, I could just laugh about these empty-headed opinions and put on some Stones-music.

He has a great voice. He plays beautiful harmonica. He wrote some hundred songs in a 40 year period, and many of his songs turned out to be some of the greatest hits in the rock'n'roll history. He usally wrote his songs with the piano or a guitar, two instruments he knows very well. He won golden globe for best film music. But still, he's not a musician.

saying jagger is not a musician and that he sucks has to be stated by someone who is either a moron or is just so high he doesn't know what he's talking about..
webster's newworld dictionary, states musician, one skilled in music; esp. a performer..is that what MICK JAGGER IS?
not only did he write about 65% of every rolling stones songs, he played guitar, bass, slide guitar, drums, piano, on many rolling stones albums...to top that he is well known as being one of the best harp players in rock...
as bjornulf said i should just ignore that statement..sorry i can't...

its really the same thing...i think he may be trying to call jagger an
entertainer, one who entertains..like a actor...but jagger does more than that...he writes, plays harp, guitar..to me thats a lot more than just playing to the crowd...he is a musician, entertainer he does it all.....

i thought mick was excellent in the movie 'performance'. fitted that real well so maybe not so much acting. cant seem to find the film anywhere on dvd. love it when the kid says to him - you'll look funny when your 50!

Really, this is the biggest load of nonesense I think I've ever read on this board. For a start, what is the point of this post?

I think even Keith admitted that Mick has played some great guitar on the new album and he had certainly contributed musically to every album stretching way back when. What about his fantastic harp playing?

He's every much a musician if not more of one than any other member of the band!
