But there're strong hints for Munich and Vienna.

There are no even decent rumours, you have two weeks to Christmas.
Simply no way that any tour will happen. They either have other plans (new album?) or something else. How long before the actual tour announcement we get BV rumours? Most of you even got to book hotels in the rumoured show locations. Now, nothing like that. No ways there is a tour in plans.

I agree. This year no tour will happen!

How 'strong'? These days AI generate tons of fake news and things might get confused. Why they would play in the same boring cities, like Munich or Vienna?
Considering that the market is way more huge, people will surely attend other locations, there is no reason for playing THE SAME cities. (just remember P4 Extra interview with Mick - he confirmed he likes touring also because it gives him a chance to visit NEW interesting places around). Well...we will see.

In 2022 they confirmed the tour Mar 12 with a start on Jun 1.
(Rumors page Feb 15)

In 2018 they confirmed the tour Feb 26 with a start on May 17.
(Rumors page Feb 11)

So that is 81 or 79 days. I would not expect an announcement before February with a tour start in May 2025. There will be a rumors page in Jan/Feb with plenty of time to book hotels and flights. (I booked Munich and Paris already :-)

Inside infos: contract signing for Vienna - [www.oe24.at] - and reliable sources for Munich - [www.tz.de] .

Nice anecdote from 2023 for AC/DC - [WN.de] : End of November 2023, there was a question by the Munich city council why an opening fest for the UEFA Euro 2024 cannot take place in the Munich Olympic Stadium. The mayor of Munich knew it and replied: "Because AC/DC are playing there" - and with that he accidentally confirmed the 2024 AC/DC Tour. At that time, the tour was only a rumor among fans and the official AC/DC tour announcement was on 12-Feb-2024.

There was already a similar question at the end of 2016 here on IORR where someone asked why the Stones are not playing cities in Germany like e.g. Dresden (AC/DC). Then someone else from IORR posted two maps: one with the income levels and another one with the population density. When you superimpose these two maps, then you know why the Stones play the same ‘boring’ cities. The level of income doesn't apply to Berlin (‘poor but sexy’), but it is Germany's capital and the Olympic Stadium and the Waldbühne are famous.

Given the crowded Euro tour calendar for 2025, wondering if they might be looking at Japan/Australia/New Zealand, where they have not played since 2014.

If bands like Guns N Roses have already announced it and people are already going to be spending $$ on tickets (GNR, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen...), why be the last to announce when people have already spent all their money? ? Last year they announced their US tour in November. In addition to the fact that the further in advance you announce a tour, the more possibilities for people to travel, buy hotels and flights, it would be a big mistake if they announced it in February

I would assume that not a lot of people love Stones, Springsteen, Oasis and GunsRoses at the same time or same level. I love the Stones, like GunsnRoses and dont care for Springsteen and Oasis. Stones fans will still buy tickets even if they have tickets for Springsteen. Also, Stones are on top of this list:

    [*] Stones 1,45 billion
    [*] Boss 1,2 billion
    [*] GunsRoses 400 million
    [*] Oasis 80 million

And then we need to look at marketing. The content for the US tour last year - Stones that is - was top notch. If I look at the GunsnRoses content for the upcoming tour - it is quite weak. The Stones marketing is always everywhere and they put loads of money in it. So no worries.
But sure - we would all love an annoucement before Christmas.
Yes, I agree with what you say
but it is also true that dozens of stadiums on a tour are not filled only with die-hard fans, you need also many people who like the band and would go to see them, but if they have already bought 3 tickets for shows of other previously announced bands they may decide to "skip the stones

That's why I think the best strategy is to be the first to announce and the first to have tickets for sale

I'm going to venture that the most successful touring band in history over decades has a clue what they're doing, though they probably look to this board for tips from time to time.

They still enjoy it and 2024 was a longer tour than other recent tours. I see no reason why there wouldn't be a tour next year but I don't have any insider info tongue sticking out smiley

Whenever they announce it, it will still sell well of course.

A 2025 Euro tour... they were last there in 2022, the SIXTY tour. Prior to that was 2017 and 2018 NO FILTER.

With exception to maybe three songs it will be the same set list.

As it will be in 2026 and 2027 and...

For those of you that are behind, we have a new single out, it's called Angry!

Keith starts IORR in D, the band plays Respectable... Mick sings Star Star and has no idea what the new single is because there isn't one.

Not a surprise.

Australia, Asia, South America - never again.

They are so close to being done.

A new album?

It's going to be one of two things:

1. Mick, August 2025: Yeah, we had a bunch of leftovers from whenever that was and so we've done a bit more, yeah, it's good, I like it. It should be out soon.

2. Keith, August 2025: Ha haaa yeahh! Ohhh I dunno, I mean, heh, Ronnie, you know...

3. Chuck Leavall, August 2025: What? They did another album?

4. Andrew Watt, August 2025: Oh man, it's killer. Oh my god. It's better than the last time. These guys just don't stop. To sit in that room and just feel the history... I've never been more honored.

5. Ronnie Wood, August 2025: Hehhhh yeah! Eh, mate! We've got like 60 in the can! I played slide... oh wow. You should see my drawings of the songs.

6. Mick, September 2025: I dunno. There's a lot to do. We've got a long way to go.

7. Mick, October 2025: It's all been a bit flat, actually. I want it to mean something. The last one was ok but this has to be great.

8. Keith, November 2025: Yeah! It's done. Never sounded better. We got it and, hmmmm, Ronnie, oh myyyy, Ronnie. Ehhh you know, never one to round the corner too fast, youknowhwatImean? Hehh heehhhhhh I mean, you know, Mick? I mean, I dunno, mate, it's just, you know? I mean...

9. Ronnie, November 2025: We're about to go on break. Might get a bit in before the holdidays, and then a bit between the holidays, if you know what I mean. But we'll be good to go in the new year. All we can do is go up.

10. Keith, December 2025: Well, I dunno. I did some work on the leftovers after the tour last year, you know, in the summer and fall, we had some time before the holidays. And then that's just a wash so, the holidays, you know, sod it, Mick's off to here, Ronnie is, well, who knows, until like February or March when it warms up a bit. Can't bring everyone to the Turks - there's no studio there ha haaaa! We could go to - but you know, I mean, there's time and then there's time, so... youknowwhatImean, mon.

It's very common for bands to announce summer European tours in February/March in line with the first pay days of the year. Holds will be in place so the stadium/venue will be secure. No need to worry about what other bands are doing therefore. People will pay for the Stones, fans and casual fans alike. It's going to be a great summer in Europe!

Can’t imagine the Stones will call it a day without embarking on an European tour, which includes their home turf in the map, behind the latest album sooner rather than never. Simple as that.

No Some Girls European tour in 1978/79? That was a different time and situation for the boys.

Japan/OZ/NZ and/or South America? Time will tell…

Re: European Tour 2025 - rumors?

Why discussion about European tour happening or not? There is so much info pointing that there will be a 25 euro tour... And zero info about other continents.

Accidents will happen (Claudine), but if nothing happens there will be a 2025 tour.

So keep your agenda's free, don't spend your money yet and renew your passport.

The Stones in the Ziggo dome sounds too good to be true. Literaly. It's has a capacity of only 17.000, but the accoustics are so much better than the horrible sound in the Amsterdam Arena. The 60 and counting show there was far from sold out, so it seems logical that they pick a smaller venue, but from 65.000 to 17.000? Seems unlikely
