Standard setlist played very well. The new songs were really good. Best version of Little T&A I have seen on this tour and Gimme Shelter is a highlight for me.

I think at this point this should be were we put our focus on: Decent level in playing instead of hoping for too many obscure rarities.

I think the set-list is okay, personally. Yep, Wild Horses for the first time; I hadn't realised that. It just seemed, at fist glance, to be a very, very familiar set of songs.

Very good show. Glad I went. Was about 4 people back in the pit on Keith’s side. Mick seemed to have trouble with his IEMs in Satisfaction and sang a very odd version, but he was full of beans all night, more energy than anyone has any right to.

Keith played fine for lately, and when he got stuck into his Chuck Berry riffs on a 355 he got some very good sounds out.

Was nice to hear Ronnie playing the riff at the start of Miss You. Can’t remember the last time that had a guitar.

That was a kick ass version of Little T & A.
I know you get criticism for saying best ever but can anyone show a better version than that.
Keith singing it like on the record.

These intro mistakes from Keith on SMU, does he do it on purpose like i suspect he did at Hyde Park those two times.
I'm sure the first ones are genuine mistakes but come on, he only nails it once in five attempts, perhaps he doesn't like it as the opener.
I'm a novice player and I'm finding it very difficult to replicate those mistakes. winking smiley

I notice that Keith only seems to mess up the SMU intro when it's the opener: if it's later in the set it's usually OK. Nerves, rusty fingers or dislike? Take your pick.

Still complaining about setlists? Feels old at this point. Just be glad they're still performing anything at 80 years old.

Eric Clapton turned 79 years old this year.
He delivers a few rarely played songs on the ongoing tour to the delight of the hardcore, taking them by pleasant surprise.

.*Presence Of The Lord (played with Blind Faith and Derek & The Dominos in 1969-1970, on the 1973 Rainbow Concerts and the ‘come back’ tour in 1974. Never played again until 2007 for two occasions with Steve Winwood. And then on Clapton/Winwood tour 2008-2011. Finally, at the Ginger Baker Tribute 2020)

*Back Home (played only for the first half of the Back Home Tour 2006)

*You Were There (played only once at the Earls Court, London, October 15, 1998)

Never say never…

Yes, it is so sad that these 80 years old keep on playing such played-to-death war horses like "Angry", "Sweet Sounds of Heaven", "Mess It Up" and "Whole Wide World"...winking smiley

Seriously, it funny that they play a tune a couple of times, it is 'same old, same old', nothing to signify any longer. 'I have already that in my stamp collection, give me a new one'. One can only imagine how bored the people once were when they played about the same bloody set list every night per tour... You know, 1969, 1972, 1975, 1978, 1981... sarcasm, sarcasm....

So what if they don't like the set list, who cares as long as we are enjoying it.
I think these are some of the best setlists in decades.
I do miss Rambler but that would mean we don't get SSOH so it's worth the sacrifice, perhaps Rambler will be back next year.

For Atlanta, please NO:

IORR
YGMR
LSTNT

I seem to get them every time I go.

Move SSOH to the song before the intros, and insert one of the warhorses as first encore.

IMHO, SSOH in no way compares to Midnight Rambler. I'd trade in a second.

I agree but the only way you can fit SSOH into the show is to drop Rambler or Miss You and we all know Mick won't drop Miss You.
I'm sure Rambler will be back if Mick thinks he's fit enough to perform it ?.

Satisfaction, JJF, HTW, BS, TD, IORR, MY etc…they were not ‘warhorses’ in 1969-1981 as we know them now. SMU was a brand new song in 1981.

In those times — call them the vintage Stones years as opposed to the modern Stones years — fans’ perspective on the setlist was completely different from what we have now. With the exception of 1975 and 1981, the show length was roughly 90 minutes, even shorter in many cases, and the number of the songs played was around 15, more or less. Their show was compact and intense. And no encore but a few notable opportunities before 1981. The word ‘warhorse’ didn’t even cross the lips of fans back in the day. It is the modern Stones era speak, more prevalent in the 21st century.

Under those circumstances, fans didn’t complain about the setlist in the same context as they do these days. The way the audience moaned about the Some Girls-heavy song selection in 1978 was not the same as the setlist-whining/warhorse-dissing we come across on the IORR forums now.

This is a familiar set list with two new songs.

I liked the set from the first shows of the tour better.

WWW goes over better than Mess It Up.

Only R&R and Wild Horses are the same songs we got on the last US tours.

Hopefully they will go back to the earlier sets.

They have so many great songs in their catalogue it's a shame we can't get a few of them mixed in.

Cool photo that with the high rise buildings

I remember when the Columbia Center went up. Nice that at least there's a view of the train station and the Smith Tower is still peeking through.

Those still around who haven't yet shouldn't miss the market, as touristy as it is, and a ferry ride or at least the view from Olympic Sculpture Park, say. And I hear the ducks have returned to Drumheller fountain on the UDub campus.

Haha yes so true.
Keith has always had a very kind press/media, journalist have always loved him, he can't put a foot wrong, but there was a time on iorr when he was torn to peices, like a pack of wolves posters criticism of him was brutal, Ronnie had similar treatment before Keith in his drinking on stage years.
If you stood up for Keith you was a gullible in denial Keithette.
Funny how attitudes change over the years.

Barely 5 pages on a live show. That alone says a lot about the enthusiasm for this tour. Ticket prices are too high for many who know exactly what they're getting. And it seems like there were many empty seats. Seattle was a bad choice.
