I would give the NS stage runner up to B2B. Was a very cool concept indeed. And I also saw that Joshua Tree stage. Was very interesting. Not a fan of Bono's political rants and pompousness at ALL. Has actually made me dislike the band more as I've gotten older, but I'd wanted to see them once to say I had, and got really cheap tix for the Buffalo show. Glad I saw them and the stage, but once was enough for me.

Might have been a huge reverse in technology, but quite the opposite on ticket pricing. Can't think a more elaborated stage wasn't affordable given what we had to pay this time to get in.
This and probably an eco-friendly version too. Even their plane had only one RS logo/lettering (port side) instead of former two.
the problem was that the Sixty stage turned a lot of spots in the stadium into restricted view spots. The two TV screens on both sides of the stage were rather small, too. People who were either a little farer away from stage or located at the sides of the venues couldn't see too much. The No Filter stage looked great even when sitting at the oppossite of a stadium
Zero to do with "upping their game", but we should all remember that if the pie in question has BEEF in it, then it's "Cottage Pie". It's only Shepherds' Pie if it is based on minced lamb.

Mick well tell you... it costs the Stones money.
Understandable. But they've made a fortune over the last, well, since 2013, really, and NO FILTER was insanely profitable.
They can certainly afford to do what they want... but they're so weird sometimes about how they spend money on staging: they had no issue with BRIDGES and LICKS and their worst ever, BANG.

U2 worked around it elsewise and include a B-stage at some point.
1994... The Rolling Stones have a video screen on stage similar to what U2 was hoping to do... and a rolling B-stage.
1997 (I do not recall if Pink Floyd was involved) the Stones dial the onstage media back and have a more central location... while U2 lights up a giant grocery cart.

The greatest stage ever, that I've witnessed, was U2's 2017 THE JOUSHA TREE tour. What they did in 2017 onward... wow.
They work with the same people the Stones work with.
No Stones stage has ever come close. NO SECURITY was very cool. Maybe their best. That's a difficult area but in regard to video quality etc way better than VOODOO or BRIDGES (BANG was terrible).
With U2 at the Sphere perhaps the (US) football stadium experience will be better than pre-2020 with the Stones and whoever else (that can afford it, anyway).

Might have been a huge reverse in technology, but quite the opposite on ticket pricing. Can't think a more elaborated stage wasn't affordable given what we had to pay this time to get in.

The "Sixty" stage was obviously a money-saver,maybe because 65k was the largest attendance amount at any venue. It looked like they took the 1981 new wave stage, cut it up, painted over it, and used it to save some cash.
IMO, The NF stage was perfect, you could at least see them from the "cheap seats"!!!.
Another highlight was during the Voodoo tour when the had the inflatable Honky Tonk Women!!...........and all our "Stones Hotties" sang right along!!!! (no Cancel Culture BS from the Stones girls)............

I agree some of the more recent stages have become tiring.
Hopefully a new stage is in the works.
