I would love to hear this spoken by The German Voice Of John Wayne: Arnold Marquis.
this it NOT funny but a serious threat

RIP Franz. It was such a pleasure to watch you play football. We have lost one of the greats, as a person and as a footballer.
Beckenbauer was surely a great footballer but rather a Dummschwätzer (German for a person who talks without thinking) than a great person - even when he talked about football.
Si tacuisset, philosophum maneret
PS: I once met him in person. Must have been in the early/mid 80s when I was in my early teens. He was nice and charming and I got his autograph.
well, I was naive teenager back then…
and it should not be forgotten that with the help of titanic magazine he brought the 2006 football world cup to Germany

I wouldn't worry. Only cowards make online threats.

German is not my first language but I'm pretty sure the translation is not absolutely correct. It is not the poster's death Cashimann is referring to but rather Franz's death. I think it makes a vital difference.

Okay, here is a tip: Never do Google translations. But if you do, please state that in the text. Google works for words and, maybe, one sentence. Not more than that. It can go horribly wrong otherwise.

You don't have to be sorry, Schwonek. No big deal. I wasn't aiming you specifically but anyone. You're right, let's get back to the real topics.

One of my heroes growing up. When I was a youngster my dad found out that the West German team were staying in Welwyn Garden City near London, ahead of their quarter-final match against England in Euro 72, then know as the Henri Delaunay Cup.
After school we drove up there and Franz and the team had just come back from a training session. My dad spoke with Der Kaiser, as he was known, and, I'll never forget this, he took me round to introduce to me to every player in the team who then autographed a huge poster I had made of the team with a photo of them in the middle.
A true gentleman that earned the respect of every footballer. R.I.P. dear Franz - you were one of the greatest footballers of all time.
Holy smokes, that is an incredible story Mike. If only he played for City
My brother got his autograph on a NY Cosmos pennant, along with Pele. I'll see if I can find it.

Nice one Eddie. It doesn't get much higher, football-wise than Pele and Beckenbauer.
